You gals doing the fitness DVD's are inspirational to me! I do not have the discipline to make that work. Wish you all the greatest success and may we all be sporting new bikinis by summer!

Thank you for the advise. I did think to measure, but I only measured one side. Makes more sense to do both, but sometimes the obvious escapes me

Congrats on the gym membership! I am looking forward to getting good use out of mine. Your approach is a bit different than mine, hopefully both work, but if not, maybe we can compare notes? My biggest obstacle is losing time with my hubby. We already work weird schedules, but since joining the gym we hardly see each…

I am an idiot, sorry for the multiple posts, was trying to get out the door for lunch and goofed :embarassed:

Greetings! I have been logging in to MFP for two years now. You can tell by my ticker that I have not accomplished much. I can make all the old excuses, but the bottom line is I have been lazy and deluded. NO MORE!!! My hubby and I just joined a gym, so I intend to go three times a week, an hour at a time and do strength…

I use Endomondo too. Love the feedback I get from it regarding pace and hydration. Super important out here in the great southwest.

Just joined Planet Fitness. First time gym member, I have nothing to compare it to, but the staff seems friendly and, since it is a new facility, everything is in good condition. Got to love the price tho...

Hmmmm, looks like Rokwell is right, not a very active group. The MFP community in general has been pretty unresponsive to me. Feel like I am just talking to myself here. Oh well, hoped for motivation/camaraderie, will settle for the tools to track what I am doing and do this thing on my own, just as I have accomplished…

Besides being lazy and my body getting older, quitting cocaine for some reason increased my appetite. Not real proud of admitting to being a (former) druggy, but it is the truth. Five years later though, it boils down to just flat out being lazy. I have spent the last year working on food choices, but remained a lazy a**.…

This sounds painfully easy. I think I will up my commitment to 60 miles. Less than two miles a day, I think I can do that!

Has anyone gotten back to you? I just started my new gym membership and would love to find a work out buddy. I live in the NW area. If you are not close, that is cool, maybe just some additional support and motivation would be awesome. Love to hike too, and the weather is getting just right to hit the Tortalittas. Maybe…

I am in the same boat, trying to lose 15 pounds and thought I would do fine without help. Silly me. MFP really helps me to stay focused on my food intake, my biggest issue. So far I am down 5 pounds. The weeks I dont log in are the weeks I make no progress. I am leaving for a cruise on October 22, I hope to be at my ideal…

Cut yourself a little slack. We all fall off the wagon, that is to be expected and I don't know about you, but just when I think I have my pantry cleared of all tempation, my hubby will go out and buy something to throw me off :( I quit sweating it and now live by the 80/20 rule. If I am good 80% of the time, I can be a…
