  • I do barre dvds at home. I have a Fluidity Bar and the Fluidity DVD's, the Lotte Berk Method, Bar Method, and Dailey Method. With an HRM, I burn between 175 and 300 calories doing a home class, but I'm mostly doing beginner and intermediate DVD's. I haven't quite worked up to the advanced yet -- but I'm getting close. I…
  • I have the Dailey Method DVD. The Express workout was a little too advanced for me. I did the longer workout the other day. It burns more calories than the Bar Method Change Your Body, but it is a little more advanced, too.
  • I really like Bar Method Change Your Body to start with. She explains everything well, and the stretches are nice. I have tried Lotte Berk, Dailey Method, Bar Method Beginner and Super Sculpting I, and Fluidity Bar DVD's.
  • Thank you for posting! I'm 43, 5'2: and 122.4 today. I think what has happened over the years is that I've become more sedentary (sitting at a desk). Drives me nuts. I've gone from 105/110 weight range to a little over 120. During the last 2 years, the weight wants to go up from that. I've always eaten between 1500 to 2000…
  • I have some DVD's and an XBOX 360 with Zumba Core. I wearn HRM and am 5'2 and 123 lbs. I burned 383 calories doing a 45 minute medium intensity class on the XBOX 360, and just picking single songs for an hour and 15 minutes, I burned 500 calories. I'm sure a live class might have me burning more since they are closer to an…
  • I did Super Sculpting I today. I'm 5'2" and 123 lbs. I have a Polar H7 HRM. I burned 318 calories. I haven't tried II yet. Change Your body is between 200 and 250 calories for me. Fluidity Bar Intermediate is 187 calories for 37 minutes.
  • I just did the Bar Method Super Sculpting I DVD with an HRM. I burned 318 calories. I'm 5'2" and 123 lbs. When I do Change Your Body, I burn about 227 calories. Zumba on the XBOX -- 45 minutes medium intensity is about 387 calories for me. I don't quite have the hang of logging exercise yet. I was hoping for better results…
  • Okay, I input some exercise data, and there was a fitbit adjustment. Thanks everyone.
  • I don't know where to see the adjustment.
  • My accounts are definitely linked. I can see that they are linked from myfitnesspal (using the help) and from Fitbit. Maybe the problem is that I have a Polar H7 HRM that I use with Digifit. This info is synced to Fitbit. Maybe this info doesn't come over from Fitbit to My Fitness Pal? Does this just work with Fitbit…
  • Sorry, I am new to all of these -- where do I see that? I don't see anything listed under exercise -- I just see my food diary. Sorry for my ignorance.
  • I have a Bikram Yoga membership, and I did it for a year going between 4 and 6 times a week. I assumed that I'd be able to do it and lose TONS of weight. When I started doing it, my weight fluctuated between 120 and 122, and when I cut down on doing it as much, my weight was 123 to 124. Here's the thing. You do it for 90…
  • I look better naked when I'm curvier, but I look better in clothes when I'm skinny. I think it is important to look at body type. I have bigger hips and gain in my hips, rear, and legs first when I gain. Then, I thicken up a bit in my torso. I don't like to go too low in weight -- like down to 100 lbs because while I can…
  • Feel free to add me as well. I am new to MFP, and I think that logging my food and exercise will help me get in better shape. I work a desk job, and sit most days. I started doing barre exercises from home a couple of months ago and gained a couple of pounds when I wanted to lose 7 lbs. Now, I need to lose 10 lbs. I'll…
  • I'm not the best cook and like to eat quick food. I work long days and like a super quick prep. Something that I like to do is go to Trader Joe's and pick up some of their pre-made food/frozen. For easy meals that don't require a lot of work and are low calories and filling, I do some of the following options: 1. Rosemary…
  • I work with somebody who does boot camp. She has dropped two pants sizes and loves the exercise. I think you'll be successful if you find something that you like to do.
  • I bought a sports bra from lululemon online that allows you to plug in your polar or garmin heart rate monitor. I use it with a Polar H7 HRM, and I use the digifit application on my iphone. It cost $64 for the bra, $65 for the HRM, and $3.99 to license the sensor. I just bought it a week ago and have been doing barre…
