  • Hmmm...that sounds like my workout! :laugh Busted! Everything you said makes perfect sense. Seems like you were getting shortchanged or I was overestimating. I'm going exculsively by MFP calculations because I don't have any of the fancy do-dads like pedometers and heart monitors. If we are confident that a 60 minute brisk…
  • Grew up in MD, college in OH, moved to IA, then L.A., and now back to the east coast in Fort Mill, SC. No more moves.....
  • OMG, I feel the same way today. I was starting to feel good about my progress and my motivation was even getting stonger! No alcohol in 27 days, rarely going over my calorie limit, exercising 4-5 days/wk and it was showing on the scale. Then today, my official weigh-in day, I lost 0 lbs since last week. And to think I…
  • Who insinuated you had an eating disorder? I guess I missed the post that was questioning your eating habits--it wasn't me! I started this by posting how difficult it is to for me to change from eating 2,000-3,000 calories/day to 1,500 and that I neeeed the exercise calories so I can at least eat enough to keep my hunger…
  • Sorry to doubt you but when you say pancakes, bacon, eggs, cheese, I'm not picturing a 4 inch pancake, one slice of bacon and one egg--that's a dinner? And that fills you up? That's barely a snack to me. I would eat that while cooking dinner lol! Seriously, different strokes....I have always had a problem with portion…
  • I call B.S. that 1/4 pizza, potatoes w/cheese plus that dinner is less than 800 calories. :noway:
  • One of the main reasons I exercise is to increase my allowable calorie total. It's very difficult for a life-long overeater to adjust to 1,600 calories/day when I'm guessing I was consuming about twice that. I have seen numerous posts from people saying that they have difficulty eating their daily calorie allowance! WHAT?…
  • Thanks for these posts...I thought I was the only one! I have always drank (drunk?) alot of water with meals but now I force myself to drink at least 12 cups a day, usually more. The healthy foods is a nice concept and I've been trying but there just aren't that many vegetables I like--and I can only eat so much frozen…
  • That's almost exactly my long term goal. I said 30 on my profile but ultimately I'd like to lose 85. So far, so good!
  • Here is a topic I posted last week. I agree with you 100% about the scale: I was getting so frustrated about how inconsistent my bathroom scale is, (I'd gain a pound while I was in the shower, and another after I shaved) that I decided to get a new, fancier scale. Of course I weigh this morning and it registers 6 lbs…
  • This is so funny, after reading your post, I got out my license-I had no idea what my weight was on there. I'm happy to say that after I'm only 2 lbs over what it says after my recent weight loss--what a pleasant suprise! More motivation to get lower than my DL weight and keep going! Thanks!
  • never mind--I figured it out!
  • How did you do that?
  • Me either!
  • I agree about waiting a week or so to let the new scale catch up. I was tempted to get the body fat calculator scale but I wonder how accurate that can be by stepping on it--I decided against it. Plus, if I want to know that, I can always use the Wii fit, which I havent used so far for exercise but I know it has a BMI…

  • My weakness is white russians....could drink them every night but haven't had any alcohol since New Year's day. I calculated the calories and it's scary how many I was taking in on a typical weekend. I know I'm going to break down one of these days but as long as I keep losing weight, it's really helping with my willpower.
  • I was a little disappointed with my weigh in today for the same reason. My goal is 2 lbs/week and I only lost .5 lbs last week after strict diet and exercise. It's a little discouraging but I attribute some of it to a psycho scale. I weighed before the shower, then somehow gained a pound while I was in there and then…
