My limited experience is that nobody really cares what I'm doing. If I ask someone for help they give it happily and I've been asked for help and was happy to give it. Most people just go through their workout with headphones on and stay in the zone. Others will go with a friend or two and stay in their little pack. I will…

We just recently got a Chug (chihuahua/pug) puppy. He's only about four months old and full of energy so a daily walk is required. I usually do the gym, biking, dvd's in the garage or swimming in addition to the walk but there are days when I don't want to do a thing and knowing he will be a little pill makes me go. The…

I have the same one you do and I love it. My family had chicken curry over quinoa last night but quinoa doesn't like me so I put mine over zucchini noodles and it was SO good! My husband won't touch zucchini noodles because he doesn't like zucchini but I suspect it's a texture thing as he's only ever had it mushy. I stir…

The Lego movie is what I imagine an LSD trip to be like but I've never done LSD so I don't know for sure.

vegetables of all kinds, raisins, currants, cranberries, nuts, cheese of various kinds, sunflower seeds... the sky is the limit. One salad I particularly love started as a lettuce wrap but was messy so we made it into a salad: cooked chicken breast, cooked bacon, pineapple, lettuce, bbq sauce of your choice and a little…

If they're playing Red Rover aren't you just supposed to smash through them?

I had a Bodymedia but it's been stuffed in a drawer for some time. I liked the info it gathered but I hated wearing it on my arm. I got so tired of people asking me what it was that I started telling them it was so my parole officer could keep track of me. :blushing: I wanted it for motivation but I realized after buying…

I do both. Like others have said, they target different things. My sore lower back has been loving the hip thrusts! The stronger I get, the less I hurt. :)

I think it depends on a few things. How well do you get along? Are you working on the same things? My husband and I do weights together but any cardio I want, I do on my own. He likes the treadmill, I want to throw myself off the cardio deck even during the 10 minute warm up we do together. Even during weights we have the…

That's not terrible at all! We used to do a family taekwondo class that had kids as young as 5 and they were expected to do all the same stuff we were. She's only sore because she's not used to it.

Rice, quinoa and buckwheat are all naturally gluten free and aren't horrible cold. You could try making dishes using these grains if you don't have the ability to reheat things. Oats you have to be careful because they need to be certified gluten free but many celiacs don't tolerate them so watch that one. You can buy…

I have this one and when I am actually doing it, it helps immensely. http://www.amazon.com/Viniyoga-Therapy-Back-Sacrum-Kraftsow/dp/B000U0C9UE/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400135492&sr=8-1&keywords=low+back+yoga

It's 90 degrees and I'm eating pecan pie as I type.

I remember reading that "Cathy" comic strip years ago where she went off to a fat farm, barely ate, exercised like a maniac and came back home proud to have lost two pounds. Her boyfriend told her he had cut out his evening ice cream and lost 20. That's just the way it goes! Hang in there and you'll lose eventually…

Despite what my ticker says, I've actually lost about 30 pounds. With exercise my pain has improved a bit but not significantly. What made a HUGE difference for me is learning that there are foods I am intolerant to and cutting those out. Now if I eat them I end up right back in pain, exhausted and I can't think straight.…

We were marshmallow peep free because we all pretty much hate them. However, I currently have 12 real little peeps in a large dog kennel in my garage. They're loud, fluffy, smelly little peeps but they will give me beautiful pastured eggs when they're bigger. I just can't wait for them to be big enough for the coop!

I've had mine for about five years and we still use it every day. We have four kids and we all drink a lot of smoothies, make our own almond butter, make blender waffles or pancakes and even ice cream. We have a lot of food intolerances so we have to make the majority of our stuff from scratch and it would be so hard…

My husband wears boxers. When we were first married he was wearing those awful white things and I convinced him to try the boxers. He's never looked back! You can get white ones.

I do Stronglifts as well but I've added a few accessory lifts to it just because I get bored easily. I studied form and instructions for the lifts I do online and then put them into practice. After I felt like I had some idea of what I was doing I hired a trainer for a couple of sessions just to check my form and make sure…

I've asked if we could just work around the yard since it's supposed to be nice weather here. We have a redneck look going, complete with dead cars and very overgrown grass and I'm sick of looking at it. I suggested we grill bratwurst and that went over well with my husband. His birthday is two days after Mother's Day and…

I don't have an official diagnosis or anything like that but I can tell you that using Maca powder in my smoothies a few times a month helps me immensely! When I was using it I felt much more even keeled, had milder cycles in EVERY way and let's just say my husband really likes the effect on my libido. ;) More detail on…

A bowl of Southwestern Quinoa Salad and coffee of course

Is it just chicken eggs or can you do duck eggs? My sister in law can't do chicken but duck eggs are just fine for her and they're excellent in baking! They're a little bigger than chicken eggs and really good.

Carrot cake? That or in muffins is really about the only way I will eat them. I did make a really excellent grain free carrot cake for Easter! Good luck trying to gag those nasty things down.

It's so rare that I have someone make something especially with me in mind that I would probably just eat it and be grateful.

First, I've read wheat belly and my personal experience is he's wrong. Taking out gluten will not magically make you lose weight. In fact, when I went GF, I gained weight because I was busy making all these wonderful gf foods so my family didn't feel deprived. I had gone GF long before I read the book but for me it was…

I'm up near Everett and you can friend me if you'd like.

When I was trying to get the attention of my now husband I pretty much threw myself at him and he still didn't get it! All that was left was to take my clothes off and present myself as an offering to him! He tells me "that I would have understood!" I don't know about all men but mine was/is pretty clueless about it.

At least I wasn't Rick Rolled again! Congratulations!

I have a scale that measures body fat. If I step on it before I get into the shower, then again after my shower when I am damp (and a better conductor) my % is lower than before I went it. Jwdieter is correct. Stay the course. :flowerforyou:
