I don't wear my wedding bands when doing weights for the same reasons as you but if I'm on the treadmill or something I don't bother removing them.

That is such a cool pattern! I haven't done any double knitting yet but I'd be willing to learn for that pattern. My 19 year old just fell in love with it. :)

I was raised by my aunt who was about 450 pounds. All of my family members were big and I was at the smaller end so I guess it just never crossed my mind that I was overweight even though the doctor told me otherwise. I watched my aunt become housebound and tethered to her oxygen tank in the last years of her life and then…

I don't know if that will ever go away for me so I either wear compression shorts or use deodorant or body glide and it's not an issue.

I'm a grown up so I do what I think is best for me. If it's someone who wants to dialog I will have a conversation but I won't argue. I have been know to say, "We are not having this conversation. If you want to remain on speaking terms with me then we need to move on to a new subject." That usually does it. :)

As I read that I was really hoping the happy ending was that you were smart enough to walk away! So glad you were!

I had a pumpkin spice fritter (like an apple fritter). I am gluten free but I was willing to deal with the consequences for one of these because I remembered the last one I had so fondly. Wasn't worth it. Apparently my tastes have changed since I last had one almost two years ago because it just tasted sickly sweet and…

I have nothing to add to this thread and just came in out of curiosity. I did want to say that I LOVE your hair in this last picture!

Grain free pumpkin spice waffles. We have waffle night at least once a week.

I don't know how tall you are or how active but I am a 5'6" woman and I eat more calories than you. I average between 1800-2000 with some high and some low days, but mostly in that range. I would question whether you're eating enough. You might want to do one of the TDEE calculators and see how those numbers stack up…

5'6" 193 Pants: 10/12 depending on the pants. Most 12's are a little too loose and 10's are a little snug so I guess I'm in that awkward in between stage. Tops I'm a large/extra large because my arms and shoulders hold quite a bit of my fat. That's irritating because I have a smaller waist but to get a shirt that fits the…

The easiest route would be just to make extra dinner and take leftovers for lunch. That's what I do for my husband and it works well for both of us. Lunch meats can be tricky as some can sneak gluten in and some are GF. If you cook a batch of chicken breast or other meat you like you can add that to salads for an easy…

Eating certain foods does that to me. Like someone else said, track what you're eating and note when it occurs then stop eating that. For me, gluten, corn and if I eat too much dairy causes that.

My sister in law has never had kids and never wanted them. She's never regretted her decision as far as I know. I have kids so I can't really speak to this but I wanted to jump in and say she's an awesome aunt to my kids and seems quite content with her decision. She's got her pets and a lifestyle she enjoys. I give her…

As a parent I am the one who determines what my children are or are not allowed to eat and drink. I don't care what McDonald's, the government or anyone else say they should eat, we as the parents get the last word. My kids have not actually eaten at McDonald's or any other fast food place for several years. In part…

I'm a HS mom but my kids are old enough to work independently for most of their stuff so I can work out when I want pretty much. This year though my husband and I joined a gym so I'll be going at 5:00 am and getting my workout done before they're even awake. Since my oldest three are all old enough to babysit (oldest is 19…

I have the book and like the information but after stage one it just overwhelms me. As a new lifter I thought there were too many different lifts to try to keep straight and I'd spend more time trying to figure out what the heck I was supposed to do than actually lifting. I haven't made it past stage two in any of the…

My *best* friend in high school, "I think boys like you because you're accessible." A guy in high school, "You have bodacious ta-ta's." I've also gotten the "you'd be so pretty if you lost weight" comments. Cuz you know, you can't be pretty if you're overweight. One that I said and then wanted to hide under a rock because…

For me, I researched form for squats and practiced that without any weight at all. I had my daughter (19) and husband look at the videos and pictures of proper form and then had them watch me to make sure I was doing it correctly. Once I was satisfied I could do it without weight I added the bar and made them watch me…

Well if your carb intake was good and you've gone GF before with no issues then your plan to test it again in a few weeks seems like the best route.
-
What was your carb intake overall? If you cut your carbs way down at the same time you cut gluten it could have been from that. I know a lot of people who low carb talk about a low carb flu and if I don't get enough carbs I end up with a headache until I eat some. Just another angle to look at.

I've got an Olympic bar that I got from Play it again sports and I have no idea what brand it is. I also have a shorter, lighter Olympic Gold's Gym bar and a couple of standard no name bars that I got off craigslist with a bunch of standard weight plates. My dumbbells are mostly the little adjustable bars with spin locks…

Mine are still wrapped in a protective coating so I will ogle yours for now and use it as inspiration to continue uncovering my own muscles.

When we used to do taekwondo we were constantly flinging sweat everywhere! My son slipped and fell on some of mine because I was literally dripping. It was awesome! My husband actually used to use it as part of his sparring strategy, he was so sweating the kids didn't want touch him so they were totally focused on that and…

Ha! Those are fantastic!

We like to cut steak into bite sized pieces, wrap them each in a little piece of bacon, poke them all onto a skewer and barbecue on the charcoal grill. Happiness on a stick!

I am so much better gluten free! I have fibromyalgia and cutting the gluten has helped reduce my pain and fatigue. My allergies are not as bad as they used to be either. When I eat gluten I feel like I have the flu; tired, achy, grumpy, can't concentrate and all I want to do is go to sleep. Potatoes effect me the same way.…

It's BS. I am gluten intolerant and have been gluten free for almost two years. When I went gluten free I didn't magically lose any weight from switching. In fact, I gained a couple of pounds from all the gluten free baking I was doing trying to learn this new way of eating! For some people their intolerance will have them…

Costco sells Tru Roots brand gluten free penne pasta that's my favorite. Of all the gf pasta I've tried this stuff holds up the best. I can't stand mushy pasta so that's important to me. :)
