Everything I suggest obviously needs to be filtered through your own list of intolerances/allergies. :) If you look at low carb or paleo style eating those things both tend to be more or less gluten free. The basics of the diets are lots of vegetables, meats are good, depending on the diet and your own intolerances; dairy…

Just like any other food; you watch what you eat. :) Some people will have a weight loss from going gluten free but not everyone. And gluten free doesn't mean calorie free. When we first switched over I was experimenting with baking different GF things and gained a couple of pounds. But I hadn't been eating cookies,…

My husband and kids know, as well as a few friends who happen to be on here. That's it though. I am not one to post every bite, every pound or every workout on facebook. This is for me and they figured out I was doing something when they noticed I was shrinking. Those who really want to know I tell.

Hmmm, good ideas. Thank you. I'm going to "eat normal" one of the nights but since I'm going twice this week I didn't want to really blow it. I've only been doing low carb for a week and a half and I'm finally seeing the scale move after months of nothing so I'd REALLY like to not blow it to badly, you know? :) Thanks for…

Chasing that naughty chicken that got out. Also, there isn't an entry for "Cleaning the Chicken Coop" so I log it as shoveling snow. :)

I bought it because I needed a planned program and couldn't afford the gym long term. P90X paid for itself in one round and I'm now on round three. My daughter is also on round three and we've both cherry picked from the workouts when we weren't doing the full program. We've gotten our money's worth and then some but we…

I had my first when I was 23! She just turned 18 last month and I haven't regretted a moment! She's an amazing young woman and has been nothing but a blessing to me and her dad. I've know many much younger mothers than 23. Being at the other end of things I can tell you it's nice to have a kid old enough to manage things…

My arms are still fat and have stretch marks (but the muscle is starting to peek out). I wear sleeveless tops and dresses all the time. I'm not going to spend my whole life worrying about what other people will thing of them when they're there for life and there's nothing I can do about it. Besides, as someone said,…

First thing in the morning after I pee, buck nekkid.

Mine are all homeschooled too so I make nutrition/healthy diet a part of the curriculum. I don't present it as "you're fat/going to get fat". It's presented as "Health & Fitness" in general for them to make healthy choices. They will eat all day if I let them and most people (young or old) have no idea the amount of food…

When my daughter was about 12 I got worried about her because she was very sedentary and weighed a bit more than seemed healthy. I put her in taekwondo and now she's 18 and doing P90X with me and very conscious of exercising and learning more about eating well. Me being mom I had the ability to not really give her a choice…

I've stirred it into greek yogurt with my probiotics (makes the probiotics taste better!). I've also mixed it into peanut butter and sliced some banana into it. That tastes really good but it's super filling and not really low cal. I tried it in oatmeal but I didn't like it. Usually I either blend it into some coconut milk…

This sounds good! I have coconut flour so maybe I'll give it a try! Thank you.

I'm allergic to shellfish. I didn't take it seriously until I ate something with shrimp in it and my throat started closing up. Now I'm very careful about what and where I eat. I also am pretty sure I have a gluten intolerance but I haven't quite admitted that yet. :)

They start you out low and slow to make sure you have proper form and get your body ready for heavier and more intense lifting. As you move up the stages it will get more challenging. As for the Jack knives, I always just did regular (butt way up in the air) jack knives instead of the prone.

I asked for (and already got) a Bodymedia. It also happens that my husband's birthday is Sunday and we already got his gift too (a garmin navigator). I'm making him Rice Krispy Treats in lieu of a cake (his favorite) and I've asked to go fishing. We'll both be happy. :)

That's awesome! Congratulations!

If you don't have a heart rate monitor you're going to have to just guess. I'd probably put it under some form of aerobics or dancing depending on what the workout consisted of.

Stormy weather (wind, rain, thunder...I love it all!) Folding laundry Classical music My feet in warm grass or sand Wind in my hair The sound of frogs Watching my chickens scratch around the yard

I saw a guy gardening yesterday wearing only a pair of jeans that dipped a little low in the back. I don't know if he was remedying the bum sweat or the crack problem but he had a piece of something (looked like a paper towel or a baby wipe) attached somehow right to that spot! Big ol' white square at the top of his bum.…

Know my triggers which means; 1. Get enough good sleep 2. Exercise regularly 3. Eat well (careful with sugar and flour. Too much gets me out of whack) 4. Be careful not to have too much caffeine. 5. No artificial sweeteners (even if I chew gum too many days in a row I'll feel my anxiety levels rising) 6. Manage my stress…

I have a friend whose daughter is named Faith and they all call her "Faithers". Kind of strange but like you said, how many nicknames are there?

I go by Fran but my full name is Frances. I really loathe being called Frances! I used to really dislike my name no matter how you said it but since I'm stuck with it I've learned to deal. My family still calls me Frannie even though I'm almost 41 years old! I just deal with that too.

I'm just wrapping up week three of my third round and love it every bit as much this time as I did the first time! There are some P90X groups around if you want to join one of those. It's nice to have a group of people who're all doing it with you even if you're at different points.

I did steady state cardio for a long time without improvement in my sparring. It wasn't until I started doing HIIT that I saw dramatic improvement in my sparring stamina. I was actually able to help with testing where I was part of three on one sparring for several rounds and I did better than the younger people who were…

Why in the heck would that be bad for my uterus?! I would think carrying around four babies to term was a lot worse on my uterus than lifting weights would be! Besides, four pregnancies left me with "leakage" issues whereas the weight lifting seems to be helping that go away (after YEARS!) I suspect it's because I'm…

I got mine a humorous card that my 7 year old somehow already stained with her blueberries. Hopefully I will remember to mail it. I am amazed I've gone to the trouble to do this much to be honest.

My husband bought one of those new Starbucks drinks made with it and IMO it tasted nasty! It was like drinking Flinstones vitamins. Bleh. That's all I've got. :)

When we learned that my daughter is gluten intolerant we all struggled with cutting back/cutting out the gluten containing foods and especially bread. We loved bread! I used to grind my own wheat flour and make it from scratch! But it was too hard on my daughter to have us eating it around her so we've stopped making it. I…
