Time management is so difficult with our busy lives. I hear it from everyone and I go through it myself as well sometimes. I am 38, wife of 13 years, mother of 2 (9 and 11 yrs old) and I too work full time outside the home. Before I got on my weight loss kick back in August 2009 I too believed that there just weren't…

I was never a big water drinker myself, not because I didn't like it but because I didn't think of drinking it. It took quite a while for me to get into the habit but now, I always carry a gallon jug with me everywhere I go and during my workday, I have it sitting on my desk, right in front of me so I remember to drink it.…

Welcome!!!! Congrats on getting started and feel free to add me and bug me any time with any questions you have. Just remember one thing, it's a long road and can be a slow process so DO NOT give up if you are having a bad day!!!!

I do my cardio in the mornings now because with work, commute, kids, etc I was not able to train and do cardio in one day if I left it to the evening hours. This new schedule has worked out pretty well for me but I'd be lying is I said I stick to 100%. There are just some mornings when the alarm goes off and I say…

We do a lot of grilled chicken in my house with Rice and veggies. I always make tons of rice so I can just warm up the leftovers. The veggies are quick and easy to warm up and so long as I pull the chicken out the night before, it's thawed and ready to go when I get home. 10 minutes on the grill each side and I'm done! :-)…

Here's what I did and totally recommend... (baby steps)... Go to bed 15 minutes earlier the night before and get up just 15 minutes earlier the next morning. do 20 minutes of cardio to get your blood flowing. Try this for a few weeks and you should see that your body will natural adjust to the new schedule. Then add 5…

I log everything including supplements. Some have calories so you have to account for them. Fish Oil is 10 calories per pill, so is glucosamine. Multi and C are 0 but still good to log so you know how much you are getting daily. :-)

That's pefect progress!!!! Keep it up I lost 20lbs in 10 weeks (2 lbs a week like clockwork)

Wow!!!! You look amazing. Keep up the hard work.

I love it when I get a friend request and the person asks me a boatload of questions...I answer them and I don't get anything back like "thanks for taking the time"! It's pretty lame. I notice a lot of people on here don't want to chat even if they initiate it. Strange...lol

Everything you describe points toward certain deviations that can be corrected. If your knees cannot stay straight while squating then that means certain muscles are tighter than others and are pulling it away from the center. You need to work the abductors and adductors and make sure you roll out your muscles after your…

I've always known it to be 8oz as 1 glass/cup I personally lug a 1 gallon bottle with me everywhere I go and drink at least that much each day.
-
I don't always log anymore because after so many years of doing it, you just kind of know what all your regular foods are. I will log when I feel like I am really off track and need to get back on track.

This is exactly why it's all dependant on ones goals. My goal from day one was 2lbs per week and it work fantastic for me. Once I reached my goal I shifted focus. Others may do better with slower progress but in my experience, some people tend to lose motivation if their progress is too slow. I always suggest that people…

I personally never eat back exercise calories. MFP tells you to do that because it doesn't want you to be in more than a 500 calorie deficit per day. If you do it how MFP says, your progress will be slower. Also remember that the machines are not accurate to your specific calorie burn so unless you have a bodybugg or some…

You need to be honest with her and tell her that it needs to stop. No matter how much you care about her and your friendship, your wellbeing comes first. If she cannot support you in your journey then she is not a true friend. I lost several friends in my journey and honestly, I'm ok with it because I'm much happier now…

Never mind...I just read the other info and I take back what I said earlier!

It's only been 4 days...it's water weight. It will ease up usually after the first week but if you are consistent then it will be a steady loss from there. Good luck

I marinate them in lemon juice, sprinkle any dry seasoning on them (most are 0 calorie) then bake at 425 for 15 minutes with the lemon juice in the bottom of the pan.

It's so worth it but it's not easy. Sorry for your struggles but stick with it because in the end the rewards rock!

I don't wear my bodubugg anymore so I don't know what it is recently but my average is between 10K and 12K per day. My highest ever was 25K but that was when we were moving offices. Maybe I'll put on my bodybugg and track it just for kicks! :-)
