When trying to figure out formulas for caloric needs, I always recommend for people to calculate at sedentary unless they are athletes.

That's what I used to say too until I got lean with proper diet and training.

My husband has a certain style wallet he likes and even after 14 years of marriage, it's not something I buy for him unless he picks it out. Make sure it's the brand, style, size and fold he likes and if he doesn't, don't be offended.

Of course we like to hear those things! I think men like to hear them too (maybe not the beautiful part but handsom, sexy, strong, etc. ) It's human nature to enjoy complements.

I would grow a money tree :-)

no, do you think I should start?

I don't believe in too much cardio. Cardio is good for the heart and the cardiovascular system. If you want to jump over that plateau, don't eat back all your calories and mix up the cardio a bit. Try the stair climber or HIIT on the treadmill.

Is this something I must learn in order to play here? How am I doing so far?

Why does this thread seem so confusing to me?

I'm 5'1" and 126lbs, 18%bf Currently I am on a 1200 +/- cal meal plan and no I do not get hungry for the most part, but if I do, I eat a little more. I will generally only feel hungar on my heavy lifting days and those are days when I may add 100-200 extra calories.

Sounds to me like you guys both have a lot of growing up to do. You let another woman sleep in your bed...you're asking for trouble...just sayin!

wow...that's incredible! Thank you for sharing!

I would start by setting strict meal times (roughly 5-6 meals per day). Monitor her calories too. I'd aim for about 2,000 - 2,500 at her age. Kids need to eat way more than adults do so there is a possibility that she could be hungry but it's also possible that this is now just a habit that she has gotten into. Be careful…

Deal with it! If you eat a lot of protein no matter what form, you will be sure to pass gass and stinky too...lol

2 cups a day (1 splenda and 3 teaspoons of powder creamer) If I have a third cup in the afternoon it's almost always black. I will never give up my coffee :-)

If your doctor says you are fine to get back in the gym, I personally would recommend 3-5 days cardio and then 3-5 days of weight training but start light and see how your body keeps up. Circuit training is a great way to start. Hit every body part for a couple of rounds thru, 3+ times a week along with the cardio. I never…

Losing weight is all about calories. If you add protein, cut calories elsewhere to even it out. Also make sure you measure out everything in your smoothie because they can be quite high in calories depending on what you add. The protein will not keep you from losing weight.

Love the new hair cut...dress looks great on you!

I adore EGGS! No matter how you cook em, they are always delish! Scrambled, over medium, Omlette, mixed with rice and veggies, egg burrito, etc.

Good for you! You have a goal, stick with it! If I had a nickle for ever time someone tells me I'm too thin or I don't have enough meat on my bones, I'd be a rich woman. I too have goals and others who are not in that same arena will never understand why my goals are what they are. Keep at it myfriend!

I'm 38 with 2 kids (9 and 10) and I work full time outside the home with about an hour commute each way. I'm gone from the house from 6:15 in the morning till 5:30 at night. I get my workouts in when I can, usually once the kids are settled after dinner and showers. I never thought there was enough time in the day to do…

I will give up whatever I need to to reach my goals but in no way do I expect others to do the same. For years I didn't think I could ever give up alcohol (Vodka with cranberry to be exact) but then here I am today and I have probably had 5 cocktails this year and all of them were on my Vegas trip in September...who woulda…
