Bump for later - I'm in the same boat!

That's a great NSV! Talk about motivation! Great job mama, keep it up.

You're the closest I've found to a twin on this thread! I'm 27 Height: 5'11" SW: 298 CW: 274(ish) GW: At this point, just to get to 200! Will re-evaluate once I'm there... I'll add you!

I drink a similar concoction - I usually go with vodka + soda water + several lime wedges & squeeze the lime juice into the drink. It really is good! I bet the lemon would be tasty, too. Haven't tried that yet. And when I feel like a beer, I really like the Michelob Ultra Lime Cactus, especially in the summer. I think it's…

Go by your HRM - nothing is exact, but HRM comes closer to being correct than the MFP database, since it's actually taking account of your heart rate throughout your workout. I've compared the two before, and MFP seems to really overestimate the number of calories burned. For example, doing 40 minutes of Zumba, my HRM says…

When I first got my HRM and was going through the set-up, it did take my resting heart rate as well as asked me to enter my weight, height, and age. I have a Polar brand heart rate monitor, so I'm not sure if all HRM's are the same way. Nothing will be exact, but from what I understand, HRMs are much more accurate than any…

I know what you mean - it is definitely annoying. I have one friend who is obsessed with Herbalife, and has been for at least the last year (possibly more), but from what I can tell, she hasn't actually lost any weight since she first became obsessed with the stuff. And now I see Plexus all over my facebook, and the skinny…

Maybe either join a group like Weight Watchers or similar, where you have to go to a meeting or something to weigh in - or sign up to work out with a trainer for your first month - both of those give you accountability (and being that they're something you spent money on, may give even more motivation to stick with it) and…

I love mixing brown rice, cottage cheese, tuna, sliced up avocado and top off with sriracha sauce. Every time I eat it at work, my co-workers make fun of me, but it's DELICIOUS.

I like to do Tae Bo, also, and I always go by my HRM. The calories MFP says you burn are extremely out of proportion with how many you actually burn doing TaeBo. I've also worn my HRM while on the elliptical at the gym, and the machine displays a calorie count way higher than my HRM, as well. Everything I've read/heard…

Thanks guys! Going to focus more on my eating now.
-
Gotcha - thanks!

I just saw this recipe in a magazine, as well - can't remember if it was Shape or Women's Health - but thought it sounded yummy. I need to try it! Just got some fresh avocados at the grocery store last night. Yum yum

Too lazy to click through all the replies and see if this has been posted or not, so apologies if someone beat me to it: http://www.hooters.com/HootersGirls/WTB.aspx I'm sure they can't/won't post weight requirements or anything like that, but this can probably give you a general idea of what they're looking for. I would…

As someone else stated, it might be a good idea to try a bigger deficit. Here is a link to another forum post where the OP provided a really good article deficits/TDEE/etc: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1017045-a-very-interesting-and-informational-read-on-deficits - and even though it's a fairly long article, I…

Glad you cleared up the QFT one... I thought maybe it meant Quality F*ckin Thread... I was way off. lol

Bump for later

I have to wear 2 sports bras and basically squish them down as much as possible lol I haven't been able to get away with only 1 sports bra since maybe middle school or early high school years. Even with both sports bras though, when they're that big, there isn't really any place they can go so they're still in the way...…

Bump - sounds awesome

Saving this for later! I looove banana nut bread, so I'm excited to try this!

Bump for later - I am a ranch fanatic and haven't been able to figure out how to incorporate it into my eating now that I'm being healthy - I loathe the taste of low fat or fat free ranch. Can't wait to try this!

That would be me - Age: 26 Height: 5'11" SW: 298.6 CW: 270.2 GW: 179 (180 is not considered to be in my healthy BMI range, but 179 is, so I figured I'd shoot for that lol) Feel free to add me!

I've never in my life had a gap between my thighs - I don't think it's in the cards for me, because of my body structure/composition. Even when I was in elementary/middle school and always playing sports, my thighs rubbed. As others have pointed out, I think a big chunk of it has more to do with just how you're built…

"Jackie Treehorn treats objects like women, mannnn!" - The Big Lebowski "There was a fire FIIIIIIIIIIGHT!" - Boondock Saints "Damn, we're in a tight spot!" - O Brother, Where Art Thou? *Edited because apparently the word "damn" does NOT need to be edited.

I am so glad I read this - truly an inspiration! Like you, I'm 5'11" and my starting weight was just shy of 300lbs (298.6 to be exact) and, also like you, my goal weight is just to get to a healthy BMI - (I figure losing 120 will put me at 178.6, so that's my GW). Thinking about losing 120lbs is a daunting task - I'm a…

Turkey sandwich on the 45-cal Delightful wheat bread w/ 1 slice of low fat pepperjack cheese and mustard, and a 1/2 cup of low fat cottage cheese, and some goldfish - YUMMO :) Oh and of course water lol

So glad to find this thread! I just ordered the DVDs a couple weeks ago, and plan on starting them soon, but hadn't heard from anyone else that had experience with it. I also just ordered the Hip Hop Abs DVDs... (I'm a sucker for infomercials....) but they are both Beach Body workouts and Shaun T does the Hip Hop Abs -…

Same here! Either that or that I look intimidating (I'm 5'11" so I guess that's an intimidating height for a woman?)
