Hi everyone, I've been lurking around here for a while now, and decided I'd like to have a few more friends! I have a few awesome ladies - and one lone, awesome man (maybe I need more men on my friends list!?) - that I am friends with currently, but could use a few more! Would love to have some friends my age - but really,…

PUT DOWN THE CHOCOLATE
So, part of my job as an office manager, is to receive, open & figure out what to do with any packages the company receives. This time of year, that obviously consists mostly of gift baskets full of goodies. Today we got a doozie. A 7-pound bucket stuffed full of all my favorite chocolatey things... Reese's, krackel,…

My name is Elizabeth, I'm 27 and was diagnosed with PCOS when I was 18 or 19. My doctor put me on Metformin, Spironolactone, and birth control. I've been on birth control on and off over the years,…

Good Diet for PCOS
First off, when I say "diet" I'm just referring to the food you eat in general (the real meaning of the word "diet") - I am NOT referring to a crash diet, crazy eating plan, etc. I've seen lots of posts on the forums from women questioning the proper diet for women with PCOS. I came across a really good blog/article today…

Ball of foot going numb on elliptical?
Every time I'm on the elliptical (I typically do 30-40 minute workouts), the ball of my foot goes numb - on both feet. Anybody know what could be causing this? Could it be my shoes? I currently wear a pair of Nike Air Pegasus. I know it's not due to them being too tight, but maybe they just aren't the right shoes for that…

My Silly NSV for the Day!
We're doing a weight loss challenge at work right now (as it seems most people are!). We have our weigh-in's every Friday, and then Friday for lunch, I go with some of my co-workers and we have our "cheat meal." Well, today we went to one of my favorite Mexican restaurants and I ordered my favorite dish (nachos with ground…

Question About Cardio/Midsection Toning
Quick question for you guys.. while working out, I would really like to focus on slimming my midsection down and was wondering if there was certain cardio exercise that's better for that than others. I love doing the Arc Trainer at the gym and I also alternate some Hip Hop Abs in occasionally. Would it be better to do more…

How many times do you eat every day?
Just wondering what other people have found to work for them in regards to the number of times you eat in a day. I have low blood sugar issues from time to time (not diabetic, but might be borderline hypoglycemic), where I feel faint/lightheaded, shaky and a little nauseous so today I switched from eating 4x/day to 6x/day…
