It used to be that I could lift weights and the fat would melt off me. However, as I've gotten older I need a great deal of cardio each week just to lose 2 pounds per week. Try doing more weight training than cardio for a while and see what happens. What could it hurt? As long as your exercising you'll be fine.

I love this site because it gives me a far more accurate accounting of my caloric inttake. I haven't been on the site very long, but it has shown me that I was SERIOUSLY underestimating my intake. Since joiing I've made the steady gains that had escaped me previously.
