  • I think it comes from people adding custom entries the way they want to have it calculated, and then they tick "share with MFP" so it gets added to the DB. I guess some things shouldn't be shared. Any time I'm adding an item, if I have the nutrition info handy I double check to make sure it's entered into the database…
  • I'm of the opinion that A) The world does not revolve around you (or me) so if someone wants to put buffalo sauce on cauliflower and call it a faux hot wing, they're welcome to do so. Doesn't mean I have to eat it. and B) Just because you (or I) think a bunch of "faux food" recipes might be a waste of…
  • I'm not sure where in the world you live, but here you can also get them from grocery stores like Fred Meyer and QFC. Bob's Red Mill is a brand that sells a lot of whole food ingredients, and they have Chia Seeds too. What I can't find at Fred Meyer, I can usually find at QFC or Albertsons.
  • P.S. I thought about just putting it under Yoga, but didn't because it's not exactly normal yoga. Those who are familiar with it, probably know what I mean. It's like resistance training meets yoga.
  • So very much this. I've never been much of a cooker myself, and as I'm scouring the internet for tasty healthier recipes, I find myself cooking a lot more than I used to, and having the right tools absolutely makes a world of difference. It takes the "nearly impossible" and makes it "possible". I also find YouTube and…
  • Ick, I don't think I could drink sugar free red bull even if I wanted to. I definitely go for the coffee.
  • Avocado Deviled Eggs: http://eatingwelllivingthin.wordpress.com/2009/10/01/get-em-while-the-gettins-good/ And personally I just love cottage cheese right out of the container with a little salt & pepper sprinkled on top. Yum!
  • Personally I'd like to find one that didn't cost an arm and a leg. Maybe the health food aisle of the grocery store is the wrong place to look though.
  • And I quote, from Wikipedia: "The Fifty Shades trilogy was developed from a Twilight fan fiction originally titled Master of the Universe and published episodically on fan-fiction websites under the pen name "Snowqueen's Icedragon". The piece featured characters named after Stephenie Meyer's characters in Twilight, Edward…
  • I've heard it's basically bored housewife "porn", and not at all based on anything that realistically resembles true BDSM or D/s... also, it was written as a fanfic spinoff of Twilight. I won't be reading it.
  • When I joined this site and finally discovered the groups, I really thought I'd find a Fetlife related group here. I was surprised to see there wasn't one. I used to define myself as a switch, however I've found that it's more complicated than that. Now, I can't see myself being sub to hardly anyone. It would have to be…
  • I log everything unless the amount is so absolutely minuscule that there's no real good way to quantify it. Even so, I still log pretty much everything because I'm still learning (and often surprised by) what has calories and carbs and what doesn't. I've also been surprisingly shocked at what certain cooking spices have in…
  • Playing darts with a dartboard with his/her picture over the bullseye, or beating on a punching bag with their picture on it sounds like a good way to get some hurt out.
  • All my life I always wound up with people who were older than me. Anywhere from 1 year to 7 years... and now I'm with a guy who is 2 years younger than me and he's the one I want to marry. Go figure!
  • Howdy! I'm new to MFP and to this group. I'm Melissa. I moved to Washington to be with my boyfriend. I've lived in California, Idaho, and Texas. I became a Washington resident in February of 2011, starting out in Lynnwood. Now I live about 10 minutes from where I used to, in Mukilteo. I love it here. If I never make it to…
  • Hi there, I joined this website about a week ago and decided last night to start looking through the groups. I am 33 years old, and from the Seattle area of Washington. My very first anime was probably one of the worst ones to start with due to its "what the hell just happened?" factor - Neon Genesis Evangelion. Some of…
  • Hi all, my name is Melissa and I'm from Washington (the state, not DC). I joined this site about a week ago, which I found by accident when I was looking for a program to track my food calories and carbs in. I was thrilled to find such a great site with such an extensive database. It makes this tracking thing SO much…
  • Hi folks - another group noob here. New to MFP as well. I live in Washington (since everyone asks.. The State, not D.C.), and I'm a geek. I spend a lot of time on my computer in a virtual world called "Second Life", where occasionally I stream music into a virtual nightclub and talk on mic and call myself a "DJ". (Though…
  • The doctor says I'm 5' 4 and 3/4" but I swear she read it wrong, and I am forever claiming 5' 5". I just started the first step of my weight loss journey on January 1st, and I'm just over 2 weeks in. My scale wouldn't weigh me before, so I had to guess at my starting weight. I guessed about 365. I'm happy to say that today…
