  • I usually go in and add all things that are always there, such as coffee creamer. I will also add what I know I will be eating if I have it planned out. It's good to do it this way. It helps keep a gal on track.
  • I haven't heard of myspace since my last Bartels and Jaymes.
  • Sounds like computer porn.
  • I think I know what the problem is..... MFP must be in starvation mode.....

  • Holy smokes, That's one heck of a tattoo. I say if you try the cream, just try in on a small area to see how it does. If you get a rash, or of it irritates it will be just in that small patch you test it on. Also, if you are just trying to fade it in preparation for laser removal, tanning will fade tattoos. It won't make…
  • I don't gain at that time, but I sure as heck don't lose any. I believe the water weight has a part to play here.
  • That drives me nuts. I have lost enough that my pants inch down gradually as I am walking. So in addition to the swishing, I get the fabric rubbing me the wrong way if it rolls at all in the seam. I have worn nothing but the stretchy type of pants you see in my pic here, for the last 3 years. I figured they are good for…
  • I tried this. It was a guessing game really. The first TDEE calculator I used had me eating over 2000. I figured that couldn't be right, so I tried another that had me at 1100. That seemed bogus, so yet another had me at 1500, and another at 1800. I think you just have to try different intakes to see what works. Unless of…
  • I think they are fine as long as you are able to just have the day, and not have it turn into cheat week or month.

  • Mine too. He did prescribe me a supplement, but he did tell me to take one. It did not help me. Perhaps it is because they are not putting as much vitamin D in the supplements as they claim. I now get more sunshine when it is available. That helped more than the supplement.
  • I do if I know I am lacking somewhere. For example, if I get cramps in my feet and legs I know I need to get up on my potassium, calcium and magnesium. I will make an effort to log those and increase as necessary.
  • I think only seriously sedentary people will lose weight eating just 1200 calories. To a point anyway, everyone would lose on that at first, but it would level out quickly is what I think. I think it is best to just try different amounts to see what works for you. I think 1500 is a great starting place.
  • UGH! It's even worse when people do it on a run! I tried letting my husband run with me and he does this. I finally just left him behind one day! He did not ask to run with me again.

  • I hate it when someone wants to walk with me. I say "Only if you are going to really do it and and make it a real exercise, I don't like slow pokes!" "I love a brisk walk! This is going to be fun going with someone for a change!" Ok..... fine.... we go to the park, and I begin walking at a 12 minute mile, and they are…

  • Always the stomach. First to get fat, first to lose it. It makes me look like my rear and thighs are bigger than they really are when my waist is down to a 27" and my hips are still at 40".
  • Nope! That was from "No time for sergeants".
  • Just remove more processed food. That is where most simple carbs are anyway. I would add more veggies, whole eggs, cottage cheese is a very good one, kefir, nuts, fish, peanut butter.
  • Slap shot "I was just trying to get it as clean as that operating room where they were gonna cut out your heart!"
  • I do not have this gaydar. I have been very surprised in fact, at a few friends who came out. I never would have guessed.
  • It's just the way your body has rearranged I suppose. I have seen this a lot on ladies and I just figured it was their specific construction.
  • What bagel is this? Is it a mini bagel? I have never seen one that low in calories, especially after adding cream cheese or what not.
  • Bring me your cauliflower.... I will protect it by putting it in my belly.
  • EATING breakfast is counter productive for ME. I can eat three eggs, a side of fruit, and a glass of milk. Still starving! I don't do it until 11am!
  • I don't eat breakfast. No matter what I eat it makes me feel ravenous. I just avoid eating until around 11am. Cereal is the worst too, because not only does it not fill you up, you end up doing the cereal dance. You know, eat a bowl of cereal, and there's milk left, pour in more cereal, but it needs more milk, eat cereal,…
  • Yeah, people do tend to do a great deal of actual discussion around here. The nerve.
  • I did once try therapy, and I did speak with my primary care dr and my ob/gyn when I was pregnant. They always say it's normal for some people and just not to worry about it. I wouldn't normally worry about it too much, but lately there is so much going on with my family and it has me on such a roller coaster. Naturally, I…
  • The one I really like for starting out was called "Simply Tai Chi". It came with a book and a DVD. The routine is simple, but they really made it easy to follow. I was happy to find it after my round with that first really bad one. Here it is:…
  • I watched that episode. It was unreal. Did you see the other drama that followed? This is what crazy looks like! http://shine.yahoo.com/work-money/kitchen-nightmare-comes-true-for-arizona-restaurant-owners-182329445.html
  • Yep. I have kind of a big fat onion when it comes to food. Layer after layer exists. I have peeled a few of these layers off. I found that eliminating the specific foods that I had problems with was a huge help. I hope that someday I will be able to eat certain things again. I get angry when I am told to just eat what fits…
