It does a lot more than just show you your intake, but that is the largest number on the screen. It does hourly intake calculations based on your weight and activity level......Like is said as an enginerd it provides precise numbers, which adds a bit of enjoyment to my OCD.

If you like to be exact there is a water bottle that tracks your water intake. Its a bit expensive at ~$20 but it will let you know exactly where your water consumption is.
