  • I am finally back at it. I was in a downward spiral for a while. My life has been crazy to say the least. Until last Sunday I was averaging 40 hrs at one job and 40+ with our small business. But today marks the day I am done with that well at least until next year lol. Still pulling crazy hours and not working out but I am…
  • This weekend was great!!! I finally got a better control and back on track. I have been so busy that I just worked and didn't take time to think let alone make good choices of food. I found I was eating and snack and not counting it. Not that my life has slowed down but I am balancing it better. Still not the best but on…
  • Logged in and entered my weight. no loss but no gain so I will take it. Todays goals are to count every calorie (I have been very bad at that this week) and to not drink coffee or soda. The next 3 weeks are going to be the hardest for me. Lots of hours at work 7-5pm days, home to kids, up till 2am getting ready for shows…
  • I have failed miserably this week. Eating horribly, been working crazy hours and sitting at an informational booth next to a bowl of candy :( I definitely need to pickup and play catch-up!!!! Also I can't get on the sheet but it seems I am not the only one. I will try again tomorrow.
  • Yesterdays goals went well, but still need to get more water. It is amazing that water intake is harder for me then staying under calories. With that said, today was bosses day with a amazing potluck and tons of calories later. I have 41 calories left for the day :( I'm thinking I will be over. Hoping I can balance the…
  • Mondays goals were a success, repeat them today. I did have to force down some water right before bed to make the 64 oz. Today I am keeping on track so far at work. below 1300 cal and 64ozs of water.
  • Sorry I don't have a desktop at home and I can't get the google doc to even let me sign-in. I just entered my weight this morning, but I did weigh myself yesterday. Happy to see a drop even if it was only a couple lbs. The next month is crazy between working 40 hours, adding 20+ hours working on crafting business, family,…
  • Happy Friday Everyone. I failed yesterday on my goal of not going over on calories, but today isn't as bad. I have a weekend of work ahead of me so I'm hopping to stay busy. I know I'm not going to get workout time in but I figured that I can make it up by keeping on moving all day. Getting nervous about weigh-in in a…
  • Yesterday I was 6 cal under my goal. nothing like cutting it close. Day 16 - Keeping the same goal all week to be under my calorie limit. Tonight is going to be hard as I slipped up and had a jumbo muffin in a meeting at work, but I keep telling myself I CAN DO IT!!! Just thinking of what I can adjust in dinner plans.
  • Starting weight : 250 lbs Goal weight: 230 lbs by Christmas (160 lbs ultimate goal) Lbs to lose: 20 by Christmas - 11 left!!! 8/15 - 250 lbs 9/05 - 246 lbs 10/03 - 239 11/07 12/05 12/26 <<<goals weight>>> Wishing it was more the last couple of weeks I have been eating horrible. Time to get back at it. Thanks everyone for…
  • Today I am just happy to be back into my normal life. We had a huge Scandinavian festival in town that I had to work at multiple days. Only good thing is that I did a tone of walking, bad is that butter, cream and sugar made up 3 of the 4 food groups I eat for the week :( Didn't gain but sure didn't lose anything. My goals…
  • I completely forgot. Woke up late and showered and got ready in 20 min lol Not looking my best today. I will enter my weight in the morning. But I have been doing good on my goal for the week. We have this huge festival in town and I am working out there periodically so It has been really had to keep under my calories. But…
  • Rainy day here too. I was horrible with my daily goal yesterday but I knew it was going to be tough. Did good if I didn't have to count the crab soaked in butter and bday cake :( Sometimes I think my family is out to sabotage me. Today I packed breakfast and lunch to bring to work and supper is salad. Did find out that my…
  • This is so me!!! I hardly ever get on the boards on the weekend and that is the hardest for me. This weekend was terrible. It was homecoming at the local college and at 36 this shouldn't really impact me but had to take the kiddos to all the fun activities. Then friends that own a bar asked us to come out :( Had a blast…
  • Its crazy how many people are in this group now!!! It is great to see so many people sticking with it but it is hard too. You lose track of people and everyone is doing different days and weekly vs monthly. It will be interesting how much weight 1000 people can lose!!!
  • I work out in the evenings most of the time. Actually 75% of the time it isn't till after I get the kiddos to bed and wait for them to fall asleep. Its just to hard to workout with a 4 and 2 yr old and my hubby is on the road a lot. I actually love it. huge stress reliever after a long day. Find I sleep better on those…
  • So Day4 is my first day really back at MFP for a week. Ended up with this horrible cold and resp infection. I am also the only one that can gain 5 lbs being sick. The sugar drinks kill my calories but taste so good :( Goal for today is to get back on track. Plan the weekend and next week out and stock up on some healthy…
  • Hi everyone. Thanks for the invite!!! My Name is Jess and I started this challenge then got this horrible cold before I could even log-on to post anything. But better late then never. I'm from North Dakota. I decided to set the bar high and try to lose 23 lbs before the end of the year. Really hoping to stick to my goals:…
  • As of last Friday I am half way there!!! 10 lbs down. I weigh-in weekly but only post the monthly dates for the challenge. Super excited that I might lose more then the 20 lbs but I know it will be harder closer to christmas
  • I'm confused we are doing monthly weigh in for this challenge correct?
  • the more you push it the longer it will take to heal. It's frustrating but its not going to get you back faster if you continue to put strain on your back or if you would reinjure it.
  • I'm back in it this week. Last week I was sick most of the week so I took it easy. so for this week: day 1 - 90 min walk very slow pace but I was pushing a double stroller so that added to the workout.
  • We just had this conversation this morning with someone else. It's important to in essence throw your body some curve balls. Indulge some for a day and have the pizza or eat out. and change your workout some. Instead of walking and biking take a few days and do a workout dvd or something. My body needs this almost every…
  • I have been going through this too. My hubby is so supportive until we are out drinking with friends. If I know I'm in that we are going out I sometimes have 1 drink and then make it last a really long time. or switch to mio or something and then everyone forgets I'm not drinking. Plus I feel that the more I drink then I…
  • I feel that way at times too. I just think this 20 lbs then after Christmas I can set a new goal for the next 20 lbs before some date like Easter. and so on. Its nice to have a focus like this for me. Its not the end but the beginning. I can't wait to be 20 lbs less  If you think about it from when we started it…
  • Even if I wish that I had moved it more, it is so great to see so many people in this challenge and sticking with it. I do think that we should have a new thread each month for weighing in, just because there are so many people and everyone is staying active. it is hard to sort through and see how everyone did.
  • Starting weight : 250 lbs Goal weight: 230 lbs by Christmas (160 lbs ultimate goal) Lbs to lose: 20 by Christmas - 16 left!!! 8/15 - 250 lbs 9/05 - 246 lbs 10/03 11/07 12/05 12/26 <<<goals weight>>> Happy with it since it was only half a month. Hoping for better numbers next month
  • This week I took a step back and really focused in on weighting and measuring food. I found that I had been eyeballing something's and eating extra calories here and there. I am so excited because I got a pocket scale to take with me to work, families houses, ete. My hubby is embarrassed but I need to hold myself…
  • Felt a little better tonight. Neighbor was going for a short walk so the boys and I joined along. Only went for about 15 min but considering I wasn't able to keep any food down a day ago I was happy with it.
  • Last week I did make my challenge but walking for 60 min on Friday and a DVD workout on Saturday. I am going to try and do it this week as well, but I have been sick the last couple of days and I know that I would pass out if I even try to workout tonight. So I will push to get my 5 days but I might need to make then…
