I find that if I put one serving of everything on the plate, finish and find that I'm still hungry, I wait about an hour while I do other things. The hungry feeling goes away for a few hours. Christine, I'm so very sorry that I haven't been sufficiently supportive! I've been trying a different approach--no snacking and limiting myself to three meals a day with nothing but water and plain tea in between. Haven't weighed in yet on this regimen. I used to ask if I could work in with them. They either finished up quickly and handed over the weight or let me work in with their rotation. (I was a 5 foot tall female who weighed 100#. Maybe they were a tad embarrassed that I used the same weights that they used lol!)

When I want something filling and evil, I oven-roast them w/garlic salt after tossing with a little olive oil. Very high in carbs but significant food value. Also, incredibly flavorful and delicious!

Re: toaster oven: I do Coolio's fork-tender steak recipe and my husband does chicken breasts, etc., all summer long to avoid heating the house. It saves on electricity, too! Then, we reheat the leftovers in the 'wave. :happy: :happy:
