  • I have my meals set more for general times of day than actual meals and I approach it like that... though I try and eat 6 times a day. I consider it just a way of organizing yourself and seeing your habits... when in doubt, I make a note about it in my food notes.
  • Hello peoples. I have had no changes. 231 still. I am sooo not as motivated as I was, and am finding it very hard not to eat at work (I work at McDonalds). I think finding a new job would be a huge diet help. I gained a good 50lbs of this weight since I started working there. I try and eat the relativly good stuff there,…
  • I am back down to 231! So thats -6 lbs... the weight I gained back. So hopefully it continues this time!
  • Somehow I managed to gain 6 pounds in a week. Haven't been good, but its a kick in the butt to get backon the wagon. That puts me at 237.
  • So I gained a pound, up to 232. Not too concerned as this was a very migraine filled week, so my exercise and eating have suffered for that, but still. Pain in the butt. I will have to buckle down this week!
  • I find how I arrange my food on my plate makes a difference. I try to make a little presentation. I often use the big plates, but add another dish on it. Say I'm having chicken and salad, my chicken is on the big plate, my salad is in a matching bowl laid on the plate. I find presentation makes your food more enjoyable in…
  • I'm definitly on the LC band wagon... with anything!! Roasted red pepper dip, with wheat thins or melba toasts Baked pear or apple with a sprinkly of cinnamon Berries with slivered almonds crushed over them
  • My goal right now is just above my "healthy" BMI. I allow for this because a) I'm only going by number crunching, not taking into account muscles etc. as I am a heavier built person, muscle wise. Also, I was never that small. I have a while to go, so when I get to a certain point, I may change it. I don't think you can…
  • I log any "real exercise", the stuff where I'm making an effort to exercise. Also if I've had an overly active day I'll log something for it (I work in fast food, some days when were down several people and I literally run) But I don't log it to the minute. crazy 8 hour shift of running= 90 minutes of light cleaning(from…
  • I used to be a very picky eater, but I've kind of trained myself to eat new things. For instance, things like pasta are easy places to hide good for you food. Heavy sauces are good for that. So I just started with low amounts of veg I didn't like, and slowly increased the amount of those things, decreasing some of the…
  • I eat 6-8 times a day. 3 bigger meals, the rest low calorie snacks. Since I've been doing this I do find I'm actually hungry, which is a good change because before I think I was just craving. Its almost as if I felt my metabolism change after a while. And my energy level has evened out, where as before I would have big…
  • Previous weight=238 Current weight=231 7 pounds in a week! Not really sure how I did that much, but I'm not complaining. I guess I cheated less and its finally nice here (aka finally above freezing) so I've been walking more. Yay! Congrats and/or good luck to everyone!
  • Tennisref thats awesome! Its days like that, it lets you know that a healthy life is sustainable, because you don't need to be hugely strict to keep on track! Cravings for less than healthy things never really come from our bodies, it comes from society, habits and emotions. Now, I've just got to drill that into my own…
  • I second that arielle. Funny since I started eating so healthy, my craving of pizza has risen significantly, and my veggie pita pizzas just don't do it. I'm going out tonight for a friends birthday, and I've already wrote out my pizza, no meat, half cheese and veggies. I'm going to be looking at everyone else's with loads…
  • Monday weigh in: 238, down from 240. 2lbs weight loss! Pretty good I guess. Probably could have been better, but I may have snuck a snack from work once or twice (I work at McDonalds... sooo hard not to eat it when your giving it to other people for 8 hoursa day!!!) And I really need some nice weather so I can go walking!
  • I work at McDonalds, which is a huge challenge, but I have discovered a grilled wrap, take off the sauce and cheese and add honey mustard. You might have to put the honey mustard on yourself (Its actually a dipping sauce) But its so good. and 215 calories (Though still 7g of fat) Also apple slices, and the salads can be…
  • I'd like to join! I'm 24, 5'4" and 240lbs right now. My ultimate goal is about 150, so a good bit to go. My biggest weight was been 250. 1.5lbs a week seems reasonable, so my goal is set for about June of next year. But I need motivation!
  • Hi, I'm new here too. Its resolution time, and I've been trying to make myself lose weight for a while, and I think its about time. This site seems like a good place to start, with some great tools. Good luck to all!
