I think this might be your problem. You don't know and I don't know what your intake is, so we cannot say with certainty what your deficit is. Tighten up your logging and you weight loss might then meet your expectations more.

I see you have opened your diary and I see a lot of days with nothing logged. Are you intentionally not logging some days ? Only 7 days I see logged in the last 17 days.

Yup - as we say "Fake it until you make it". Often I trudge off to the gym and I am hating every single rep of every set. But I have yet to regret knocking them out once they are done.

Yeah echoing above. It takes seconds to add what I've ate and usually while I'm eating it or just after. Not sure how it is taking you so much longer. Perhaps once you have a good list of recent foods and recipes it will be quicker for you ?

Echoing what everyone else is saying sugar is sugar. Fruit obviously has other micro nutrients that your body needs. And has fibre too, so there is some additional benefit for you in having your carbs from fruit.

Yes that makes sense. Just smaller numbers than mine. With such small numbers you have to be very very accurate in burn. If you walk an extra couple miles you potentially destroy the surplus, etc. Not for me but I understand how some can be that meticulous.

That makes sense. Thanks my numbers are probably wider cause I am a man. It makes sense when going for a smaller bulk amount. I was thinking it was maybe cardio and that is how 1200 people do it too. They add cardio to boost the numbers. Thanks

If 2000 is a bulk for you then how is 1600 a cut ? What is you maintenance ? Cause that is not much of a differential to see significant change. The different between my bulk and cut is about 1000 calls.

Yes agreed especially if you have a lot of excess weight too. But this is special and is limited. I wouldn't be relying on newbie gains for too long.

Gain muscle or lose body fat your going to have to pick one of those goals I'm afraid. If you are in a deficit then your body will not have the raw materials to build muscle and likewise if you are in a surplus your body has no reason to burn fat.

I only use shakes on a bulk and it is purely as a cheaper option to other forms of protein and because it does not fill me up the same as eating a lb of chicken. When I am cutting I am able to meet my protein goal through food and frankly I want the fullness of food that the shakes just do not give me.
