Happy New Year ladies! What a crazy last couple of years huh? I'm 45 and have been on MFP for a long time, always seem to come back to it. I feel best when I log, drink lots of water, get enough sleep, and move my body. I'd like to lose about 35 lbs. Thinking of re-joining a gym to try the rowing machine. This year one of…

If you don't do it now, when you're 60 you'll still be wishing you would've done it 20 years ago. The time is going to pass anyway so you might as well start today! Just take it one day at a time. I'll be 40 in July so I can relate!

I'll be 40 in July. My goal is to lose 40 lbs by my birthday. I've recently stopped eating meat and am eating as Plant-Based as possible. Feel free to add me!

Wow... this thread got big! Just checking in to see how everyone is doing! I've been doing really good during the day but then I want to eat everything in sight at night. I went grocery shopping last night and got some healthy snacks so that should do the trick. Slow and steady!

Thanks girl! We totally got this! :)

I use Fit Men Cook, Skinnytaste, and Kalyn's Kitchen; those are my favorite. Also search Pinterest for whole 30 recipes, clean eating, etc.

I'm 5'4" and currently 210. My advice is to plan plan and plan some more. I've been using the Fit Men Cook, Kalyn's Kitchen, and Skinnytaste websites and Pinterest for meal prep and that's the only way I'm not tempted to go out for food. Look at other people's diaries for ideas. The cleaner you eat, the better you'll feel.…

Hi all! I'll be 40 in July and I've challenged myself to 'lose 40 by 40' this year, which would put me at 172. I'd love to have more mfp friends with similar stats/goals!

Hey all! I'll be 40 in July. I've lost about 15 lbs so far and I've challenged myself to lose 40 more by my birthday (and about 22 after that, which would ultimately put me at a goal weight of 150). I'd love more friends around my age for motivation and support! And to tell me what to expect when turning 40...haha.
-
Hi! I started out at my heaviest 227 and am about 212 right now. I'll add you!

Sent you a FR! 60 lbs is my ultimate goal for 2016; I'm trying to lose 40 of those by my bday in July.

Hi ladies! I have the FGG and was thinking of starting the challenge today too. My IG is @gettingfitinpdx. It would be super cool to start an MFP group... feel free to add me here and on IG!

Hi! I'm 39, never married, no kids and have struggled with weight my entire life. I lost about 15 lbs in 2015. My first goal in 2016 is to 'lose 40 by 40' which would put me around 172. I plan on reassessing at that point. I'd also really like to meet some new friends that I can relate to. Feel free to add me!!

Hi all! I'll be 40 this year and I'm hoping to 'lose 40 by 40'. Feel free to add me, I'd love to find a mutually supportive group of mfpeeps!

These breakfast egg muffins are so so delicious and perfect for a quick, on the go breakfast! I'm going to use my leftover ham to either make them or a ham and white bean soup.

After all the sweets and high cal foods over the holidays, I was craving veggies something fierce. I made a Turkey Veggie soup with onions, carrots, celery, green beans, red potatoes, peas, corn, and kale. Added in a can of diced, no-salt-added tomatoes and a can of green chiles. I used fresh thyme and italian parsley,…

Yay! I've been down with the flu for the last week but just saw that you started the group. I just sent a request.
-
I'm curious about groups too; I have no idea how they work in MFP really. I wish we got some kind of notification about new responses in threads/groups/etc.

This is exactly what I was looking for. :) I started at my highest weight ever back in December at 227. I'm down to 210 and my first goal, of course, is 199. I got down to 196 back in 2011 when I lost about 24 lbs with MFP. My ultimate GW is around 150 or so, but anything under 175 would feel like success to me. I mean…

I'm 38; no kids, never married, and perfectly happy. I've been on a few really terrible dates and a couple more mediocre ones in the last year or so and I just refuse to settle. I'd much rather be single and happy than miserable in a relationship. I'd like to lose at least another 50 lbs, so if you're reading this and we…

That's horrible. I've read a similar article about it before, too. How they were deprived of water and made to wear garbage bags while working out in order to make sure they didn't gain any water weight. For me, it was always demotivating to see them losing so much weight every week, like 10 lbs per week or something…

Shoot. Guess I'm going to go buy some Quest bars tonight after work! I'm in love with the White Chocolate Raspberry.
