I only use the EA Sports Active 2 for the Wii... I work nights, and don't have time to get to a gym! However, I think my ticker says it all! :D

I've got the second one as well. I've already done the 9 week program twice on medium, and the cardio kick start on medium once as well. I'm almost done the first phase of the 9 week program on hard now, and I still love every minute of it. Btw- if you haven't noticed, you can make your own workouts as well. For my "off…

My suggestion is always to add the sodium tracker to your food diary. From what I saw after a brief peek, your sodium may be high, and that would cause water retention. And yes, you need to up the calories a little - not much, just a little! Not giving your body enough fuel makes it think that there is no food available,…

Just this site and exercise! I work nights, so I don't have time to join a gym or anything, I just exercise at home using the Wii, and watch my portions.

Nothing worthwhile is ever easy or free. After you get a routine going, it will get easier. If you want this enough, you will make time. If you aren't at that point yet that you want this enough to make the changes that seem daunting or hard, then this will not work. Fad diets and easy fixes are short term, short lived…

Without being able to see your food diary, my best guess would be limiting your processed food intake. Basically, try to use less processed food, and cook/prepare at home where you have control of the "extras" you add. For example, purchasing preseasoned chicken seems like a good idea, especially when it is advertised as…

odd... my friends and I called it "punch buggy"... and it was "punch buggy *colour*, no returns"...

Canned peaches!

I use my sportline HRM as well during workouts, as I found it underestimates the calories burned as well. However, I guess it's better to underestimate calories burned than overestimate!

I just finished my second go through of the 9 week program on medium, and today I'm starting it on hard... definitely continues to kick my butt each time! I've been procrastinating putting the difficulty to hard, but I think it's time to change up my activity level a bit, so hard, here I come!

Awesome job! I'm glad I'm not the only one who comes home with the same groceries... mine is usually chicken and mushrooms though!
-
If you have a Costco in your area, the Kirkland veggie burgers are excellent. If not, Yves veggie burgers (mushroom based) are pretty nummy too!

I have 80 quests in Howling Fjord and the Icecrown quests to do before completing ALL the Loremaster achievements on my 85 Pally. I play DnD on Sundays, and Minecraft whenever I don't feel like trekking across Azeroth. I love Starcraft the board game, and have played me some TI (Twilight Imperium) as well. I haven't had to…

I personally think that those mirrors and lighting are meant to make everyone look horrible. Listen to your husband. Apart from yourself, really, he's the only opinion that matters. And he married you because loves YOU! Shopping for bathing suits sucks even when you are skinny (or at least I'm told when I go shopping with…

I have the EA Sports Active 2 for the Wii, and have lost about 50 lbs of my weightloss so far using it! I love love love love it! There are preset workouts, but you can also tailor your own to work out specific portions of the body if you want. I use mine every day of the week, just tailor my own workouts on the "off…

My only thought on this is the sodium. Turn on the sodium tracker in your food diary to help you track it better. If you can't see it visually, you may not realize and be able to make the change as well and quickly as you would be able to if you see the numbers. Turn the sodium tracking on, at least until you get into a…

Congratulations!

Moderation. I wouldn't have the willpower to stick with it this long if I denied myself the foods I love. I'll take a page from my very wise Mother, who has always stuck to the "Moderation is the key to everything" line all her life.

Are you weighing at the same time each day? As the wii will tell you "due to small changes in your body, your weight can fluctuate around 2lbs in a single day". I weigh on the wii fit, and I find it very accurate. Dependent on what I'm eating, how I'm working out, etc, my weight fluctuates, but as long as I keep at it, if…

Try to pre plan your week and grocery list. Opt for lots of veggies, non processed meats. Cook at home whenever possible, and even pre pack your lunch the night before. Please don't "not eat", as that is VERY unhealthy (anorexia). For a helpful hint, I've found that my path in the grocery store is simply all the way around…

Whatever you end up deciding on, my suggestion is to ensure that it has a chest strap. HRM's with chest straps are MUCH MUCH MUCH more accurate than the ones that are just the watch as the heart rate is detected at the source! I have a Sportline Duo 1025, cost about $100, and I absolutely love it!
-
The only other suggestion other than all the others that everyone else is already saying is maybe you want to track your sodium and sugar intake. From a brief glance over your diary, your sodium levels seem like they would be really high. My suggestion would be to turn on tracking for sodium and sugar, at least for a…

I have this too.. sportline duo 1025 and I'm really happy with it... around $99.00 plus tax. Has a chest strap, but the strap is very comfortable. Fairly easy to use, once you read the instructions!

You sound exactly like I did when I started this. I was tired of my mother and sister nagging me for having put on the weight, and I just turned a blind eye to it and dug in my heels. But... the lightbulb went on, and I came to the realization that while they weren't going about it in the nicest way, they *were* right...…

Wow! What a difference! You should be exceptionally proud of yourself thus far, and good luck in completing whatever your final goal turns out to be!
-
Stick with it! Results are not immediate. The weight didn't magically appear overnight, and it won't go away overnight. As long as you remember that, and realize that you are in control of your exercise and what you decide to eat, you will be able to stick to it and you CAN accomplish your goals.

Naturally occurring sugars from fruits and veggies is fine, just watch your refined and added sugar intake! If you "can't live" without adding sugar to your cereal/tea/coffee, and you are going WAY over your suggested sugar intake, try to wean yourself off it. Just add a bit less each day until you get used to it without…

Wii fit to start, and moved to EA Sports Active 2... and that is the ONLY exercise I do... I work a night time desk job, so other options are out the window. I've been pretty successful so far I think!
-
Record it all! Lol, that's my opinion. A calorie burned is a calorie burned, and each one above and beyond your "regular day" is worth recording. Besides, the "zone" that it's telling you that you were out of was one that it picked... there are several "zones", and each one burns calories, just a different amount. I got a…

I'm at 229 right now, and still set for losing 2lbs/week, so I've got 1290 cals to play with in a day, however my daily total changes based on how much exercise I'm doing. As well, if you are feeling hungry all the time and you aren't already doing this, plan your meals and have 4-5 small meals in a day. Extend your meals.…
