a friend of mine is doing this.... at least she doesn't think she is cleansing anything - just trying to jumpstart eating better. She callled it the cabbage soup diet so I forgot ti was this cleansing debacle from a heart hospital LOL. And there - 1 post closer to dead :P

no worries- I'm not the food police. I just noticed that your macro goals are set to almost half your calories from carbs. I set mine to 25% though I have been going over a lot lately. Not to mention sneaking more dessert than usual LOL

FWIW, given the PCOS, I would be (and am) going for higher goals in protein and fat and lower carb goals. And I would be cutting down (not eliminating) on sugary stuff vs eliminating whole grains. But, if you are losing weight and not getting insulin spikes, then no real need to change a thing :wink: :happy:

You've list 20 lbs since mid-January. That is 2 lbs a week which is the upper end of healthy rate of loss. You are at a healthy weight. I would seriously consider figuring out your TDEE and upping your intake 100 cals a day a week at a time until you reach maintenance, upping protein intake, and lifting heavy. Building…

I usually have a piece of dark chocolate. OR, I add a steviia and cinnamon or unsweetened cocoa to plain, fat-free greek yogurt... makes iit kind of like a high protein pudding :P

Seems pretty normal for me, too. Fwiw, making sure I get plenty of protein on workout days seems to help as does drinking plenty of water and the amino acid workout drink I use. It may just be that my body adjusted but my doms improved when I started consciously 'replenishing' aminos and protein

The issue is not starvation mode really. / it is a slight thermagenic slow- down with an increased risk of losing lean body mass. I did the first day of NROLFW earlier this week and started with 35lbs which is about 20% - but I want to make sure I nail form AND I was unsure what I could do. I work out at a TaeKwonDo studio. I basically found that i like the sense of camaraderie and I like that people will notice and call me on it if I don't show up - esp since my kids go there so I have to show my face for their classes if not mine.
