I don't know what you mean? I can't decide what's most awesome about the jacket - that it's Nike, stonewashed, zipped up to her neck, or ripped at the wrist? It's the bomb. :explode:

I'm a child of the 80s and I'm alive. Anecdotal evidence that pop rocks and pop don't make you pop

She apparently had her BMR medically tested with some machine (vo2?). She's not going off of online calculators or even her burn from the body media. She is eating just over her measured bmr

Not me - Yet. Having posted to this thread, I am sure it will happen imminently

If this was a Jewish man wanting to connect to other Jews keeping Kosher while dieting, noone would say boo. The OP is fine- her cultural experience and the norm for beauty in that culture really are NOT the same as a white american. And, yes, people do tend to be pulled towards people/mates who look like them . There have…

Love stinks at a wedding. Yes, it was on the list of songs our wedding DJ provided for us to choose from :noway:

In for lovely, practical advice!

Meh. Neither... It's more of a weekly thing. As long as I am close or a little under my goal most days, I eat closer to maintenance (or even a tad over) on the weekends. What I care about is that my weekly number is close to goal. Works for me

I over-estimate (or try to) when eating out where I have no control over weighing/measuring. But, based on experience I'll bet my overestimates are still under despite having weighed everything most of the last year. At home, I weigh everything (except raw greens some if the time). It was a revelation when I first started…

I have PCOS and am at high risk for T2 diabetes. I have been pretty successful at counting calories combines with limiting my carb intake (approx 25+/- % of my calories and usually under 100g net per day) Feel free to check out my diary for ideas. And, yes, I still ahve treats but I limit them and try to "ballast" them…

I missed that she hasn't an A1C- that in and of itself makes me question her doctor's intelligence though I agree she doesn't seem to be engaged in thinking for or advocating for herself. I actually agree that she could still have IR or thyroid issues. But, she said she started at 1300 as her goal. But we have no way of…

I'm not EvgeniZyntx but he is using a data exporter and analyzer that he wrote and shares on his blog http://www.myfitnesspal.com/blog/EvgeniZyntx/view/new-mfp-data-export-tool-major-update-659927

That's not all I took away from the information. But, what is key to the current situation is that the OP should in fact lose weight eating at a deficit even if at an impaired rate. Esp since she said she usually hits 40% carbs vs the recommended 50% carbs (which is the same as all the IR/LC study participants). Also, she…

Eat at manitenance or 100 cals a day over maintenance. Get 100+ grams a day of protein, and start lifting heavy things. Look at Strong Lifts, New Rules of Lifting or Starting Strength. What you want is muscle- not weight loss
-
but the key here is that they ALL lost weight. So, yes, the weight less differed but the caloric deficit still worked to a degree. The OP should still be losing some weight (even if something is metabolically off) if she is in a caloric deficit and has been for 2 months
-
Me, too. (except I couldn't keep myself from one last ditch effort) OP- noone defies the rules of physics. Even people with metabolic disorders (like me) can lose weight if we figure out our personal Calories in calories out. You said you have a medically tested BMR. Given how overweight you are starting, I would start…

No. Lots of people set their cal goals from their TDEE and then just log exercise as 1 calorie

You are wrong. A tremendous number of people have PCOS- it is actually the single most common cause of female IF. It just used to be horribly misunderstood and under diagnosed because so few doctors even knew about it. Most women with PCOS have in fact had a battery of tests (IR, testosterone levels, thyroid etc) and many…

Big Difference!! Truly!!! Esp in the back and side shot. You are narrower across the back and look how much looser that shirt is on you!! (see how it was sorta pulling/stretching before and now its not at all) Great job!!! :flowerforyou:

I think it iis hardest for our brains to catch up than anyone else's. I still have trouble seeing the differences and I am at 45 lbs down on a 5'1" frame. Part of the problem is that all my progress pics were at different angles or distances too. So, I am so completely geeky that I measured how much space my body occupied…

I think it's just part of the journey... On some level, I am proud of how far I have come but it is so overwhelming to still have so far to go to be "healthy" that I can't truly enjoy it  It's frustrating to realize that I might need to lose the same amount again - esp knowing how long it has taken me to get this…
