  • I LOVE tattoos! I have two on my back. I'm getting one of them extended as a reward for reaching my goal weight (when I get there!) It's currently about 6 inches x 2.5 inches. I want it extending so it's more 12 inches x 7 inches. Can't wait :) xx
  • I agree, that is amazing progress!! Habits like that are VERY hard to break. I am (was!!) a binger too. You can take masses of confidence from this...you KNOW you can do it now. (break the habit) Well done to you and keep up the good work...you will succeed at this, your head is in the right place and you are doing…
  • Hi there Jenna, I took the pill too, for soooo many years and wanted to come off it, so I had a coil fitted. Suits me perfectly! I'm 'artificial hormone' free now! I would certainly recommend the coil (the one WITHOUT hormones!) em xx
  • I understood what you meant...the .5 meaning 5lbs, I do that too  xx
  • ooops 'shin splints' I meant! haha whats a shun?? lol xx
  • I agree, great advice. I too was at my lowest weight by running and craved it! I also did the same...getting to lamp post by lamp post! I also used to talk my self out of stopping. Like if I wanted to stop, i'd ask myself 'why do I want to stop?' If my legs hurt, i'd ask myself, do they REALLY hurt? If I HAD to keep…
  • I absolutely agree and I usually do the same, I think about (and savour and appreciate) every mouthful. Paul McKenna recommends it in his book 'I Can Make You Thin' (not a bad book by the way!) Funny how EVERYTHING tastes amazing when you're on a diet, i definately appreciate my food now instead of mindlessly scoffing most…
  • I'm the same...finding I need less at meal times. I guess my stomach is 'shinking?' Also for me, it is to do with my blood sugar being more stable, instead of having spikes and dips which causes intense hunger. This is because i'm eating more slow release foods instead of high sugar/carb snacks. Works a treat for me :) I…
  • Hi everyone, I'm 5'4'' with a starting weight of 127.5lbs (9st 1.5lbs) Which means I have 13.5lbs to lose to get back to my goal weight of 114lb (8st 2lbs) Feel free to add me! :flowerforyou: This is my first week on MFP and I can't wait til weigh in day on Tuesday!! I think i'm on target for a loss of 2lbs :) em xx
  • Thank you :flowerforyou: I'm 13.5lbs heavier than that now...but i'm working on it! First weigh-in day on Tuesday, can't wait! All the best...let us know how you get on with the running! em xx
  • Hi there, I learned to rum! :) I hadn't done it since school and was reading a magazine with a running feature and was really inspired. So I put on my trainers thinking 'phhht, running is easy, i can do this!' Well.....I ran for all of about 20 seconds and thought 'ooohhh my god, I can't run!!' But I persisted!! My tip is;…
  • Hiya honey, don't know your name but didn't wanna call you 'fattygirl' lol. I'm a newbie too and i'm absolutely LOVING it here. I know you're gonna look at my picture and think '*****...what the hell is she doing here?!' But my picture is me a couple of years ago and that is where I want to be again. (I have 13lbs+ to…
  • Good idea!!! I'm gonna do that! Thanks :) xx
  • Same here! Personally, I don't think it matters. Protein keeps you fuller for longer and is what builds muscle...which in turn burns energy by merely 'being' a muscle! If you don't exercise then the extra protein will be converted to energy, so will slow down weightloss. But if you use the extra protein by building…
