I use it for bulking and cutting. Previously I ate a perfectly "clean diet" for a long time but it absolutely consumed my life and was miserable. Once someone clued me into IIFYM and not having to set my clock to eating every 3 hours I have had the same results with cutting and better results bulking because I can always…

this, I weighed 212 on friday, got a soar throat saturday and felt ill so ate/drank very little, today I feel better but I weighed 199 this morning. I would bet my bottom dollar I will weigh 212 again in a day or 2

agreed, if this myth were true I would have died of dehydration already.

Ok, honestly the best advice would be go and tell your doctor your goals and ask him how you should do it. Diabetes is nothing to toy with.

Just worry about your Calories and macros, unless your dr said something about sugar or sodium.

If it was me I would do a reasonable diet until shortly before you need to actually weigh in and then manipulate my water weight for the actual weigh in. I'm not saying its safe, but I think its a better choice over a crash diet where you would lose muscle

Just keep doing what your doing, however do not expect to be able to spot reduce.
-
Just eat a caloric surplus and work hard in the gym and you will grow.

Keep track of your meals, use a scale. I started out skinny, dont get wrapped up in broscience nonsense. Eat big meals with high carb and protein, and between those meals have something else like chocolate milk and peanut butter. Complex carbs are good, but they will keep you full longer, so when I bulk I try to have a…

if it fits your macros! For low calorie diets it would be wise to make better choices so you stay satiated throughout the day though. But 1500 calories in chocolate chips is still 1500 cals.

I have tried many different kinds and I like Optimum Nutrition brand the best. If you are looking for a shake for anytime and/or post work out look at their pro-complex. I only drink protein shakes post work out and I use Hydrowhey.

You might be using weights that are too heavy. Use weights that challenge you but allow you to use good form and really visualize the targeted muscle doing the work.

I used to ride a bicycle for work when the weather allowed instead of a car and I loved it. It hardly felt like exercise or work because I enjoyed it so much. edit : I weigh 210, plus I had like 10 lbs of gear on the back. The bike we used was a smith and wesson.
