I waited to get my road bike at the very beginning of the season. The bike shop I went to was eager to get rid of last years model to make room for the new models they just got in so I was in the right place at the right time and got a huge discount.

I'm sending out as many request as I can, so if you want to add me feel free...I finally found a post that feels like home!!! I've been a spinning instructor for 4 years now and just recently (the last 4 months) have taken to the road and I love it!!! The longest ride I've done to date is a 100K, I also completed my first…

The only things that bother me is #1, heavy perfume and #2, not wiping down equipment....

Thats an amazing transformation.......You never know who YOU are going to inspire, keep up the great work.

I've been using my Polar for 3 years now, I totally agree with you. I like that it also lets you know when you are NOT working hard enough, I've always had a misconception about that.

Welcome to MFP!!! I hope you find everything you need here.

I think its kinda funny how different people are,,,I'm just the opposite. After drinking the next day I have weighed up to 2 lbs more then the next right back to normal.:drinker:

I have the Polar F4, I've used it for 3 years now, never had any issues with it. As far as the chest strap, you get used to it, it has never bothered me. But as a woman we are used to having something strapped on in that area anyways, haha. My first monitor was a wrist one and it went right back to the store after one…

what may be basic to you may not be for someone new at this. I thought this was a forum where people can go to get help, not to be made to feel stupid....

OK trying to make sense of this all, I hope you don't mind helping me out. My BMR is 1539.15 so I x that by 1.55 (spinning instructor, I teach usually 5 classes a week, some weight training usually 1 or 2/week) and I come out with 2385.6825. These are the calories I need to maintain my weight, if I want to lose I just cut…
-
now I'm just even more confused......don't know what I should do, how many calories do I or don't I eat???? UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
welcome aboard!!!!

OMG that was and sometimes still is my downfall. The only thing I could do to help myself was to go upstairs to my bedroom to watch TV at night, away from the kitchen....The other thing I could do when it got too bad was to go to bed. Sometimes I'd be in bed by 8:30, not saying its the right thing but you know what you can…
