Cardio does very little for me. I really want to start strength training...not sure where to start. I have weights at home but no barbell. What can I do?

I just finished C25K training..no change in weight or inches....won't calf raises make my legs bigger?

Have been doing the C25K program for 7 weeks, finished WEEK 7 Day 2 this morning.....I am a very s-l-o-w runner. People walk faster than I jog/run. I love doing it and feel so good when I am done. Even if I don't jog the entire time I am supposed to it is still a great feeling of accomplishment for me.

I finished WEEK 6 DAY 2 of the C25K program. For 6 weeks I have been getting up at 5 to be on the track by 6:45. I am a slow runner but I finish! WOOHOO!!!

Hi...I started the C25K 6 weeks ago. I completed WEEK 6, DAY 1 this morning. I am not a runner and find it difficult, but when I am finished with the work-out I feel so good!!!!!! Hi....like you I am a "pop-aholic"...that is what we call "soda" here. I gave up pop. I probably drank 2 liter a day. Now if I drink 2 glasses a month it's a lot. I can't say that my weight dropped as a result. I was sooooooooooo hoping it would. But good for you that it helped you. I switched to flavored seltzer waters…

I love ZUMBA............I try to take 2 classes a week as part of fitness routine. I haven't lost a lot of weight but I love how the class makes me feel.:smile: :smile:
