I'm reading An Assembly Such as This by Pamela Arden. It's a trilogy of three books that tell Pride and Prejudice from Mr. Darcy's point of view. I love it!

I am six months out and the urge to eat is still not there. I had to take Garber's advice and start eating at set times everyday. It's the only way I hit my protein goals and even come close to my calories. I still don't hit my calorie goal but I get close and as long as I hit my protein goal, I'm okay with that.

You guys should all check out the VSG and WLS groups. Just go to groups and look up VSG and they'll pop up.

Is it really? I'm gonna try it but I haven't gotten around to it yet lol.

Today, I had a coworker (who is also my neighbor) stop me and say that her husband had said to her "It was so nice to see Trinity in the restaurant today. She looked amazing and it's not just the weight loss. She looked me in the eye and smiled and talked and laughed and it was amazing to see her coming out of her shell."…

How many carbs?[/quote] Both the cookies and cream and the chocolate chip cookie dough have 3 net carbs and the chocolate brownie has 5 net carbs. Those are the only ones have I on me right now. It's not too shabby!

I love them too. I wouldn't be able to stay away from candy or meet my daily protein goal without them. Completely worth it to me. I buy a box every two weeks.

When I hit my four month mark in September, everything stopped. I lost 2 lbs the entire month. It didn't matter if I added more working out, stopped working out, added more calories, added water, added protein. Nothing worked. It was incredibly frustrating. Then all of a sudden, it started back up again and I've lost 16…

I always just order off of the seniors or kids menu and if the restaurant won't allow that, I'll pick off of my husband's plate. I also ask for a box as soon as my food comes.

When I did C25K, I did each week twice before I moved on to the next and I was amazed at how well I was doing by the end of the second week.

Being able to walk up the two stairs onto my porch without having leverage before starting. It's nice to not have to heave myself upwards lol
-
I use a straw. I wouldn't be able to get my water in otherwise. I have no idea why but drinking without a straw is very painful for me.

This is the smartest thing that I have read in weeks! I constantly have to remind myself that food is not a reward for being good but a way to keep my body going. It's so easy to forget that.

Every time I don't lose a pound, I start to worry that maybe I've lost my last pound with the sleeve, like that's all that it's gonna do and now I have to start busting my butt as much as I was before surgery (I was literally exercising myself into the hospital). I am terrified of failing the sleeve. I'm not so scared of…

Good plan having the healthy food around the house. I take ambien for severe insomnia and I black out with it. I have gotten in the morning to find that I cooked a whole pan of enchiladas and then ate them and that I didn't remember a thing. The side effects from some of these meds are crazy!

Everyone looks amazing! We're doing so good!

You look amazing too! I love the pics too, they get me up off the couch lol

I'm only five months out so I'm gonna post a before and a so far pic :) Sorry the second one is a bit fuzzy

I do!! And I have to be glued to a computer and I have to have hard copies of everything so I have to email instead of going and talking to people. I use this though and it helps: http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/2014/07/deskercise-33-smart-ways-to-exercise-at-work/

Thanks! It was hard work lol. I want to do it again but fall has started here and the top of that mountain is one of the places you just don't go after summer time so it'll have to wait until spring I guess. I never thought I would actually like hiking.

Julie, this stall was one where I bounced back and forth in the same 6 ounces. I'd go down, then up, then down, then up. It was frustrating. I wouldn't be able to handle a 5 long week stall, I would also lose my mind lol. Now that I've said, I better knock on wood. That hike yesterday finally got stoked a fire and I lost…

:flowerforyou: Hi! Sounds like my pre-op life lol. I never had a meal without potatoes or rice or pasta. Looking back, I think I used them so much because I was convinced (having been raised that way) that meat and veggies were not a valid meal and something else had to be on the plate. So really I just used them as…

Whoops, I think I wrote that wrong. The stall hasn't broken yet.....but I am over it (meaning I wish it would go away lol). I think I'm on day 12. I hope this doesn't last three weeks or five weeks but if it does, c'est la vie right? This past week I started increasing my activity so that probably didn't help matters any.…

That is an awesome story! It gives me hope!

I eat chicken on a daily basis. Always have, always will. Since my surgery I have protein shakes every day, or at least I try to. I don't feel very good on the day after I miss a protein shake. It drives my husband crazy that I eat the same stuff over and over again but I know what I like and I have a very picky palate. I…
