I would assume it's about data management, governance and movement, storage costs why this feature is not being addressed. Most probable the business model does not accommodate the feature

I am really happy with the Seca scales, they have a spirit level inbuilt to make sure the surface you use them on is flat, if not you can adjust the feet to compensate.
