No I never had a c-section, but trust me when I say my abs are still totally screwed up and it's been two years since my second kiddo was born ;) I've been using a ridiculius amount of jergen's firming lotion and that has been helping a lot! Good for you for starting sooner rather than later!

I know it seems like a lot, I was terrified at first, but trust your TDEE! I used MFP before a few years back and was only eating 1500 a day, lost a few lbs, then plateaued. This time I researched a lot more before I started and have been a lot more successful, and it's been easier :)

Agreed, tdee is the best way to figure this out! I started out on mfp a few years ago and had it set to sedentary, was eating 1600 calories a day, not losing any weight and gave up. Figured out my tdee and came back a couple months ago. I eat about 2000 calories a day now and have had pretty steady weight loss :) good luck!

I have two little ones, ages 4 and 2 :) They are a big part of my motivation too! But I am also doing this for me. I log in everyday, and i log EVERYTHING. I've been 5'11" since i was 11 years old. The smallest size jeans I've ever worn at my height were a size 10 (that was at 140 lbs). I wouldn't say i have big bones, just wide hips :P even in a size 10, i was very fit. I'm now 22 with two children, wearing a size 16 comfortably. Ideally, I'd like to get back down to 150 lbs…

My mom lost about 50lbs using his "I can make you thin" program a few years ago and has kept it off so far. I tried it with no luck. I lost about 5lbs initially and gained it right back. To me it was mind over matter. I couldn't stop thinking that it wasn't going to work. I need something more concrete... Like MFP :)
