Fruit are packed with fiber and micronutrients but they do have sugar. If your concern is weight loss then the number one thing to keep in line is a caloric deficit. No matter what you eat, going over your calorie allowance will result in a gain, sugar or not. Sugar does, however, have the physiological capacity to make…

I work at Starbucks and personally I think the eggnog lattes are disgusting. They're really popular though

Exercise really doesn't do that much for me. I do kettlebell routines for strength and shape (and dat booty), as well as yoga for peace of mind and flexibility. Burns maybe 200 calories per session, every other day... basically nothing. I don't exercise to lose weight, I eat less food to lose weight. I know some people…

When I only did cardio, I never got used to going to the gym. Absolute torture. When I started lifting heavy weights, getting strong and lean became a game and I was pissed off that the program I was following had TWO rest days in a row on the weekend because I wanted to get back in there. Favourite thing to do is squats…

I can see how this would boost immunity but It doesn't make sense that it would cause any significant fat loss. It's just sugar and steeped spices.

I'm Canadian so mine has come and gone, but I fasted until dinner then had my fill my turkey, cheeses, cured meats, salad, and more turkey. I eat keto so it was a pretty typical meal for me haha, just bigger.

Kettlebells and running. :-)

I did the same thing at my fattest because I had, at one point, been skinny. So I always thought of myself as a small person, a skinny girl. Since the weight gain piled on over a long period of time, I deluded myself into believe it was 5, maybe 10 lbs of winter chub or water weight or whatever even when I was obviously…

I use ZipList - you can save recipes from the web to your account, then when you add a recipe to your list it automatically puts all the ingredients in your shopping list for you (and you can choose to uncheck the items you already have). The best part, for me, is that it automatically categorizes all the items into…

Carbs. Lol
-
Net Carbs? Isn't that carbs minus fiber? She only wants to track sugar. At the top of My Home, go to Settings. There you can choose all the macro and micronutrients that you want to track.

If you've lost weight, you're going to need to keep lowering your calories. Smaller people use less calories. If you wanna lose faster you gotta eat less or burn more, simple as that :)
-
Depends on the person of course. I have a monster appetite and could put away 4,000 calories a day without thinking about it. My boyfriend, who is actually TRYING to put on weight, has a hard time eating more than 1500. We both have a ****ty time cutting and bulking respectively... hence the need for us to do it.

Lol. Wanting to be attracted to your husband does not make you superficial, neither does being concerned about his physical and mental health. Basing a relationship entirely on looks IS superficial. Learn the difference, you're rude as hell.

Why do you need to cut fat? Sugar I can understand. Stevia in the raw is a good sweetener, as long as it is ACTUALLY raw and not stevia that's been processed and granulated beyond recognition.
-
Are you really surprised that removing 3x coffees that have double cream and double sugar would cause weight loss?? lmao. Not to be rude but... double doubles are basically drinking a donut

Eating tons of fruit will have the same effect as eating tons of sugar, sugar is sugar. However: 1) fruit is generally accompanied by more micronutrients than, say, a chocolate bar with the same amount of sugar 2) fruit comes with fiber, which is essential in allowing your liver to process the fructose you just consumed -…

Interesting post, though I disagree pretty heavily with anyone who tries to get ****ty about what other people eat. I would point out that while we may be in a stage of evolution that points to foraging, the decision to eat meat (specifically, to cook meat and eat it) is the reason we have the level of intelligence and…

if 1000 calories a day is causing weight gain, you're either counting calories very wrong or you need to see a doctor have tests done.

If you aren't losing fat you need to eat less

Take caffeine pills or drink regular coffee for muuuch cheaper. It's the most common/easiest to get thermogenic ever, you don't need fancy extract. I work at Starbucks, and those refreshers have a ton of sugar. We basically just pour caffeinated juice into a shaker, add water and dehydrated fruit, and shake it up with ice.…

Take measurements instead of weighing yourself, the scale can be fickle due to water weight and poop, etc. If you are not losing weight over weeks or months, you are either eating too much or have a serious medical condition.
-
Yes, a deficit of 7000 a week theoretically would yield 2lbs of fat lost a week. However, you will also lose muscle and just generally feel ****ty. Don't try to lose that quickly if it puts your calories that low, it's not worth it.

This is poor advice for a female. :P

IF does not work the same for men as it does for women. We are more prone to stress-related retention (and fasting stresses your body). Women also lose weight slower and take longer to respond to exercise routines - it's called estrogen and having less relative muscle. If you don't like IF, don't do it, it's just one way…

You probably lost muscle mass eating 1200 or less a day, which means you lowered your BMR. I don't mean starvation mode, just less muscle to burn calories. as a result, an internet-calculated TDEE does not reflect YOUR actual TDEE. Also consider that increasing your carb intake can cause water retention, not just salt.…

unless you have heart problems, don't worry about 1200mg of sodium in beans. sodium isn't bad for you unless it specifically exacerbates a health problem you have. most people who cook all their own food from scratch could actually stand to consume more sodium. and yes, it's true if we need to humans can survive on very…
