This is quite a late response, but I wanted to throw an endorsement in for elliptical machines. It's a nice step between walking and jogging, and is easier on the knees. Well, it's good to hear that other people have to deal with the same thing. I do try to ignore it for the most part, it just gets old after a while. It certainly does make for good motivation, as some of you were saying.
