  • I am on Yaz and have been on it for years. I did have a break for six months but my skin broke out so I went back on. I did put on weight but your body needs at least four months to adapt. I am now losing weight again. Don't worry about it now , you have only just started the pill so give your hormones some time to balance…
  • Lindt milk chocolate or Cadburys chocolate. Not into hard candy and we don't get a lot of the other candy mentioned above in South Africa.
  • Loose skin - no but I do weight lifting/resistance training which helps. Stretch marks - yes, but they don't bother me that much. I look at them as badges of success to commemorate my weight loss to date.
  • Take it one day at a time but first GO SEE YOUR DOCTOR. Start slowly, stick with it and you will see results. Good luck, you can do this, if not for yourself then do it for your kids. :flowerforyou:
  • It's your 21st! It only happens once so if I was you I would not worry about what you eat and drink. You can get back on track the next day. Have a great party and congratulations.:drinker:
  • Unfortunately, the most tasty part of the egg (the yolk) is the fattening part. A large whole egg typically contains about 6g of fat (in the yolk) The egg white is the protein part. Personally I prefer the whole egg and still lose weight if I eat about 3 per week.
  • Fresh fruit with low-fat yoghurt. OR 5 Baker's Marie Biscuits (119 cal, 3g fat) with a cup of Nestle Milo
  • Omlette (egg white only) with tomato, mushrooms and fat free cottage cheese with a slice of wholewheat toast. Tea/Coffee.
  • I use a Polar heart rate monitor for cardio workouts and would definitely recommend it. I have had mine for about ten years so doubt that they still make the same model. As far as I am aware they all have a wrist watch and strap that goes around your chest. I would suggest the Polar FT4 as it has everything you need, not…
  • I agree with Ben, you may not see a change on the scale as you are gaining muscle. However, the more muscle you have the more calories you burn at rest and the more fat you lose. Are your clothes getting looser? If you want to lose quicker, give up ALL alcohol and the weight will drop off. (just try it for a month as an…
  • Firstly, well done on your wieght loss so far. Secondly, fat cannot "turn into muscle" and vice versa. You are pretty active so you are probably losing inches (mass) and not weight (pounds/kg's) because you are building muscle. This is good because the more muscle you have the higher your metabolism (even at rest) and the…
  • Yes, I always go ever in sugars and sometimes protein. I drink one glass of red grape juice "no sugar added" with lunch but there is still a lot of fructose (fruit sugar) in it. I am more concerned with fat and calories though so don't worry too much about sugars.
  • @JustAGirl Tell your friend not to give up - no pain, no gain. I work out 5 times a week and am sore everyday. I am happy to be sore as then I know I had a good work out and am not wasting my time at the gym. If you are going to do something, do it properly, that's my motto. She must not lose heart, think positive, keep…
  • I noticed this too and was quite depressed but weighed myself two days later (rest days) and noticed that I had lost a kilogram. I now only weigh myself after my rest days as I train quite hard during the week.
