I wonder what's left after you cut all that stuff out???

Chances are, you probably eat more than 1,200 calories and don't realize it. If you're logging accurately though, and weighing your food, you can up your calories if you wanted to. It's really your choice. You can continue eating at 1,200, and eventually wind up feeling hungry, and you may even get tired of feeling hungry…

Besides TOM, I also get like that if I restrict my calories too much. You may need to increase your calorie intake a bit?

Anything that helps you lose more rapidly, often results in gaining that weight back, not always, but very often. Carbs will not slow your weight loss. Just hit your macros, and eat at a deficit.

Towards the end, he says that if people want to remain thin, it will be a constant battle. I already knew that about myself. Some people are thin, and don't typically have a problem remaining that way. My in-laws, for example. They are all thin, and have no real interest in food. They have to be very hungry, to even eat…

That's because if you say women only, men think it's a TOM question.

Tell ME I can't enter! :noway: :grumble: Lol.

Yeah, in my opinion, I don't care for the government guidelines either. They put too much emphasis on carbs for me. I aim for higher protein intake, but I also lift. There are many people on here who weigh their food, and count calories, and consider it a lifestyle. I plan on doing this forever. ;)

My husband is also skinny as a rail, and pretty much lives off of Pepsi and snack cakes/nutty buddies. He likes to take his snacks to work, so I put them in our room so the kids don't eat them all on him. Personally the things he likes, I don't love. I like them, but I don't love them, so I'm not overly concerned with…

Yup! Only thing is that, especially in the first few weeks, you may not lose much weight, but you will lose inches, which is more important if you're trying to look good in your wedding dress, rather than look good on the scale. ;)))

Great job OP!!! You look hot!!!! :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

I just use sweet and low with the powdered non-dairy creamer. It's like 10 calories/teaspoon, I believe....I drink a lot of coffee.

Come to think of it, when I was younger, (before having kids) I lost a lot of weight by eating fast food almost daily, and drinking lots of beer, although I wasn't really trying to lose weight. It was just my first time being out on my own. I also didn't exercise. LMBO!!!

Yes, I've lost 65lb's of body fat, and gained quite a bit of muscle from eating ice cream, pizza, and whatever else I like. ;) I think you can view my before and after pics on my profile. :)))

Solid advice here!  BTW, I'm scorpio, where's my picture???!!!! Lol
-
Why would you use that as an excuse, when you can burn it off???
-
It usually takes about 3-4 times to get the hang of each routine. Just hang in there. The important thing is that you are moving, and burning calories, and hopefully having fun. :)))

The problem is not bad food. It is your ability to eat them in moderation. I try to eat 80% healthy, and try to reach my protein goals, and stay under on my carbs n fats, n stay under my calorie goal. There are some foods that just taste too good to eat in moderation, for me personally, so I don't bring them in the house…

Yes! Trust me, OP, you really do want to get into weightlifting! You don't know what you're missing.

^^^These people speak truth! I use a bodymedia to determine what I burn. Lately been having a hard time staying under on my intake, but I usually have good results with it. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over, and expecting different results. You need to figure out what you need to change. It…

In the past, I've gained, lost, gained, lost...this time it's gone, and staying gone. In the past, the reason I mainly gave up, was because I was tired of eating all the same bland tasting foods, and eating too few calories, (typically around 1,200). It was mostly chicken, fish, and salads in the past. I'd eventually get…

I'm a Zumba instructor, (don't laugh, I do weights too! lol) so I'm friends with a lot of folks at my gym. Most of the women think I'm crazy for lifting weights. The men who do zumba with us, (mostly older guys) typically hit the treadmill beforehand, and maybe do a few machines. I think people just don't "get it." I've…

When I get bored or stressed now, I just go to the forum and laugh at all the funny gif's.

IF you were overeating, you would have to eat an extra 500 cal's/day, which would put you at 1300 just to maintain. That means, that unless you are not logging accurately, then you are probably gaining water weight. Honestly though, if you're consistently gaining 1lb/week, that seems like it would be actual weight gain,…

Well, I have my own so...

Ok, now I'm starting to feel left out. I better be in on this shiznit!
-
That's what I thought! WTH is going on around here??? Lol. Oh well, *grabs some more popcorn*...

I'm not sure about fitbit, but my bodymedia is way different than MFP's. On lazy days, I burn about 2,300, and on active days, anywhere from 2,600-3,000. ;) I do zumba, and I lift, and try to not sit on my butt the entire day. Sometimes I succeed. Lol.

LOVE THIS^^^ and yes!!!
