Thanks for all the good info. I'm especially thankful that it is encouraging information. :smile: I am actually not looking to become a runner, I just want to be more athletic, as I play a sport at my university. I wish I were a runner, though, because I would be more fit! Thanks again!

Thanks for clearing up what people mean by resistance training and for your input. I guess there's really no use in worrying about any of this anyway because I'm still going to be eating less and exercising more regardless of how all that stuff works. Have a nice day and thanks again! :)

Thanks for the response and the helpful information but I think I need to rephrase my second question because that wasn't exactly what I was trying to ask...Basically what I'm wondering is if burning calories exercising has the same effect on overall metabolism as cutting calories. So will the metabolic rate slow down more…
