  • IMO the best "fast food" oatmeal out there is at Jamba Juice. They use steel cut oats and slice real bananas on top. I always ask to sub the brown sugar for a little splenda. Excellent if you just don't have time in the morning.
  • Cardio is your best friend. Ab exercises wont take any weight off the area, it will only tone or strengthen the muscles that are underneath the fat. Most of my weight is in my tummy too...cardio and circut training will eventually burn the fat away
  • 1200 can be a lot of food if it is all home prepared - I space my meals out every 2 - 3 hours, Ive found this helps with the hunger (and boosts metabolism). I have also heard that you should feel slightly hungry at the end of the day, but not so hungry that you will tear the door off the fridge.
  • I joined last week. I am a vegetarian too :) I am 5'2" 150lbs looking to loose 20 - 30 lbs. You can add me as a friend if you'd like. I hired a personal trainer (he is a friend I go to school with) to work me out 2 to 3 days a week and I get to do cardio and abs on my own the other days. Nice to meet you!
  • I absolutely love Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla Milk! At only 40 calories it is guilt free :)
  • It is usually not lower in calories than fat-free yogurt or the light and fit variety. The big benefit is that it is double the protein, which helps you feel fuller. It also is a little bland, and not a sweet as yogurt, so it helps to add fruit to sweeten it up.
  • Start slowly, try substituting things. Instead of milk, use almond milk (My absolute fav is Almond Breeze Unsweetened Vanilla - its 40 calories and super yummy). I am a vegetarian after reading about the way meat is treating in the US, but I also cut down significantly on dairy products for the same reason. I get my eggs…
