I thought I would let everyone know that I indeed fasted. I stopped eating at 9pm on Saturday night and did not eat anythng again until 5:30 a.m. this morning (Monday). A 32.5 hour fast. Yesterday I had coffee and water all day long. Amazingly I was hungry at times but never really felt famished. I drank 22 (8) oz glasses…

I am sooo trying this! I love everything about the new me! Except the pouch I still carry around!
-
Very helpful...Thank you so much! Do you mind me asking if you have tried this and if you weighed if there was a postive or negative result because of the fast? I plan on weighing tomorrow and feel it will be counterproductive to my reset if I see a positive number tomm when I weigh in. :-) Thanks
-
[/quote] That's not true. People do it for many reasons, but one benefit of fasting is gaining more control over one's relationship with food. Some people eat because they have a deep-seated fear that somehow food will disappear. Some people have no sense of what they're eating. Going through a cycle of not eating and…

I was exercsing every day...the past several months, i am lucky if i do it 3-4 days a week. 1200 cals is when i was strict with myself and THAT is when i lost the weight...since not holding myself accountable i see a very minimal loss or no loss at all. And NOW it has resorted to the binge eating at night. I have just let…

Ok people...thank you..i am not whacked, i promise. nor do i have or have ever had an eating disorder but thank you for the concern. I lost 59 pounds since october eating what i call "normal." I ate what i want but stayed within 1200 calories. I excercised every single day to the point I burnt myself out. So the last month…

I tried that yesterday and it only caused me to binge eat like crazy last night.
-
How did you do? I did the 5k, this was my first ever. So glad I did it and looking forward to several more this summer.
-
I am not one to talk on this, this month, i have given into every craving for the last week. It sure doesn't help having easter candy in the house either. Thinking of sending it all somewhere else. lol. Generally I try to snack on sweet stuff like apple slices with fat free caramel dip (watch your portions) If I must give…

I will be getting one once I reach and maintain my final goal for 6 months. I already have 5 others. The new one will simply say "no excuses" in a fancy font.

I am in the Fox Valley. If you moved a bit North I would be interested. :-)
-
I am in the Fox Valley area. New London prob would be doable for me. Depending where in Door County that is about 2-3 hours away from me. I am no where close to being able to run it. I have been doing the couch to 5k on my treadmill for the last few months and am currently on level 3. Run 90 seconds/walk 90 seconds then…

Steph, finally someone close! I am in Oshkosh and it seems everyone else is so far away from me. Welcome!

Welcome! mfp is amazing! the biggest advice i can offer is to be honest and accountable to yourself. Great to have you here!
-
oh, mpf is also a general number based off your information and not you specifically. your heart rate is a good indicator of how hard your body is working and as mentioned before, with entering all the information specific to you, I believe that the HRM would be your more accurate bet.
-
The HRM is definatly more accurate. Most accurate if in the setup it asks for your heigh, age, weight, etc. All this is taken into account along with your heart rate to calculate the calories burned. The Wii is based of Met's and doesn't take anything into account except the energy that should be exerted for various…

love this thread....oh so true.....i quit 3 times before i got serious and stuck with it this time. guess what, the results are there!

Absoluty amazing! The funny thing is I have had those two pairs of jeans less than a week now and they are kinda of falling off too. I am now at that odd between sizes stage. The sizes I was wearing pre-lifestyle change are way too big. The pants I bought fit, but kinda loose. The pants I have had in storage from…

Suggestions on stomach strengthing exc ercises? Frequency/Duration/Etc.
-
I don't think I can eat much less. I eat the 1200 calories and try to eat back about half of my excercise calories each day. I excercise daily ... for about the last 2.5 months ... usually about an hour a day.
