the back of the bag of rice will tell you how to meausure it (cooked/not cooked). I ALWAYS go by my food scale, as someone else mentioned there are air gaps, your eyeballing it so you may be a little over or a little under, etc. best of luck.

I keep hearing I need to eat back my excercise calories because there is already a deficit built into mfp. If I don't eat them back I will lose muscle and will stop losing quickly altogether because my body won't have anything to fuel itself. What is one to do?

My husband looked at me like I was insane tonight because I was on the treadmill for an hour and that was the second time today on top of doing some heavy housework. He is usually at work when I sneak in my running so he hasn't been subject to my addiction.

What kind of rest do you give yourself? Thus far I really don't intentionally give myself a break. Breaks usually only happen if I literally am not home or can't get a run or at least a fast walk in.

Agree with tigersmama. I was eating a serving and a half of fiber one 80 calories and a cup of milk and was hungry right away. I eat 1/4 cup of "liquid eggs" and 4 pieces of healthy life wheat toast with "i cant believe it's not butter" spray and I am good to go till lunch time. I eat lots of protein and that seems to keep…

In my opinion you need to be aware of everything you are putting in your body. Just because diet soda is diet that doesn't mean that it's going to aid you in your quest to loose weight. Thank you. Though he definatly posseses insecurities I certainly don't think he is trying to sabotage me. In fact he said last night that my tummy was going down and then said don't quit. I do think his fear is real though. I know I won't go anywhere but he really feels that I might.

So I am just curious if I want to shed a lot of weight fast right now, would it be in my benefit to not eat the excercise calories back at this time? I usually burn about 300 a day. I have no problem eating them back later but want to get my weight down fast and then slowing down would be fine. Thanks in advance.

I don't understand this because to me it kind of seems contradictive. You excercise and change eating habits to lose weight so why would you eat excercise calories back. I know what you are asking and all, and I have heard that you are correct. I just don't get it.

Is it possible that the foods you ate sped up your metablosim and therefore burned some of the calories you ate up while you were sleeping? I am sure you know that even sleeping burns calories.

I do that too...and the ones I record, I watch during the day while I force myself to do the free step on the wii. I should be more disciplined about it but try at least a half hour in the morning and afternoon and then evening. Sometimes a jog at night. Trying anyway. how do you meausure your heart rate with accuracy and how do you convert that to calories burned? Doesn't your heart rate vary during the workout? Also, how accurate is it if you don't enter your weight, because doesn't yoru weight factor in?
