I am six months in to a wfpb way of eating. I am down 35 pounds since January without being hungry, and just recently started exercising routinely again. My triglycerides, cholesterol, sugar and BP has dropped significantly. I am off GERD medications. I am waiting to be told I can be off my BP completely. I love it because…

how long before you felt any changes? Almost immediately. After 5 weeks my triglycerides dropped 194 to 87. After 4 months I am down 35 pounds. I do not calorie count anymore, but I do track for nutritionhere to be sure I am getting enough fiber, and not too much sugar or fat. I have cut out oils so that is not a big…

Today I drove home after being told a routine procedure has to be done at the hospital because it is safer for someone of my weight. I forced myself not to stop at store, made a healthy salad and about to walk to the apartment pool for a bit and allow myself to just zen. There is a lot of stress in my life lately, I think…

Not sure if this will paste correctly. I love this smoothie. It has a lot of items but with careful planning at begeinning of week and organizing it in one place so you can grab it all, it actually doesn't taste to long. the banana is frozen. I also add pineapple usually, a few fresh chunck, I was just out today. It has…

Thank you everyone! This is all great. Today is the day that I start the journey that I will finish. I am not looking back, just forward. I found some great motivational speeches on spotify. Amazing how just listenting to positive words can make you feel positive. I saved the playlist and will pop on my headphones as I…

Hi There, I am much older than you (49) but have suffered all my life with gains and losses. You are a beautiful person, and you should not let your weight gain ruin your self esteem. Instead, make this journey with head held high, because you are facing your challenges and conquering them! I just started Focus T25, I have…

Had some ups and downs, including stepping on the scale before weigh in date, but I was down 2.5 lbs from Jan 1. So remotivated to keep just plugging away each day. For today: 1) I will drink my water and eat only what I brought for lunch and snacks and recorded 2) I will stay under calories and remember to close out my…

I pretty much broke all of the Just for todays, yesterday. But moving forward and not looking back. "Failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts." -unknown. Just for today I will bring my lunch to work, log in all that I eat, walk on my treadmill for 30 or more mins, treat myself to a long evening…

Please add me, we can do this.

Okay, scrap that 4 mile round trip walk to Dunks. It is a sheet of ice outside. Perhaps I can skate there lol. Okay, for number 1 just for today I will do DDP strength yoga this morning and a 30 minute tape later tonight. Have a great day everyone!

Yes, I find keeping my diary secret helps me be completely honest. Other times feel like sharing it keeps from eating something i will have to admit. Try it both ways, see what works best.
-
Just for today.... 1. I will walk the 4 mile round trip to dunks 2. I will log everything honestly 3. I will abstain from alcohol, suga, sweeteners 4. I will menu and prepare for upcoming workweek meals and prelog what i can 5. I will not step onto the scale, weigh in is on 11th when i start my 300 day challenge,

I find that trying to make up for something done or not done from day before doesn't work. Forgive yourself and move forward. If you work extra hard the day after you missed a workout, or the day after you went over calories, you should just be proud of the workout you did and not consider it the punishment for the missed…

Wow, you are right. Biting at this one day at a time is mentally less exhausting then looking down that seemingly huge distance to the finish line. I completed January 1 and yesterday successfully, Here is what I am going to do, just for today, January 3: 1)Walk 45 mins on treadmill 2) Log in everything honestly and stay…

I switched to real cream in my coffee. I only need one tablespoon which calorie wise is as much as the multiple servings of half and half or milk. It is more favorable and I learned after a few cups, now enjoy my coffee without sweetener or sugar.

Welcome back to the wagon, I have been on and off for a long time, but here to stay this time. Found a great "just for today" group that is helping me focus on just getting through each day as the long range picture is so overwhelming! Putting in a friend request to you both. Accept if you wish. Good luck and Happy New…

Just for today I will: 1)Complete my morning yoga 2) Log in everything honestly 3) I will avoid alcohol, soda, sugar, and artificial sweeteners 4) I will not step on the scale (this, believe it or not, is actually the most difficult!)

Yes i am in! I need to make overwelming life changes and trying to get 60 lbs off to be at a much healthier and fitter state looks impossible. I fail because i try to do it all. So this time I am doing it right. Small pieces, looking at today only. Just for today each morning and a few pieces to accomplish in health and…
-
I use it about once a week. Wish it did better with kale. I always have pieces left floating about. Why is that?
-
Id like to do this too. Maybe a shared google doc of some kind?

Love these ideas. Thanks everyone. FitBit will be my gift to self when I get to 20lbs off, I am earning that much wanted piece of equipment!

Looking forward to a new year. Feel free to friend me! I used to run, but can't with this much weight and a recent asthma scare. Learning to live with asthma, will lose the weight and hope that I, too, can realistically say a 10k will be in my future!
-
I would love to share my support, and hope you'd do same for me. Friend me if you wish.

Did my pics 4 months ago then got sick and didn't start. I have been doing it off and on and love it. Now I am ready to try to be fully dedicated to one DDP workout a day if not two. I have been doing energy so far. Tomorrow I am trying below the belt...Friend me if you wish!

Just sent you a friend request! We all need support as we journey to fitness and health :)

I followed the Dash Diet for 2 weeks, and compared it to my previous food diaries. Yes I was eating more balanced, but I was surprised to see sodium was actually higher wnen I followed the DASH program. I guess I don't normally crave sodium foods, so by adding low sodium broth and low sodium tomato juice, things I normally…
