I just bought a bunch of size small clothes on Black Friday. They fit, so my goal is to make sure it stays that way! (I never bought any goal clothes in advance, but I have enjoyed fitting into smaller and smaller things already in my closet from thinner days as I've progressed.)

I'm actually on day 27. I'm close to goal, but I've still had a strong weight loss month while gaining muscle and firming up at the same time. (For the record, I'm very diligent about measuring/counting/logging my food.)

A good thermos will keep things hot for the whole day. There have been times when I've opened my husband's the next morning and the coffee still steams out. I think it's just a thermos brand--wasn't cheap, maybe $50-$60 regular price, but it's lasted more than two years so far. As far as other meals go, I'll eat most…

Extremely yummy butternut squash and cauliflower recipe (http://delicioustv.com/2007/04/roasted-cauliflower-and-butternut-squash/ just slightly modified) along with a serving of cannellini/white beans stirred in. This was actually my fourth meal of this, and I'm disappointed the leftovers are gone!

I agree with these. I also think that you have to remember that there will always be an upcoming holiday, trip, special event that you'll have to fit into your life and figure out how to be healthy through it. Might as well start now.

Have him make his own meal. My husband and I do that a lot actually.

Totally up to you. I weigh most things, and I have actually brought my scale to some restaurants (and it made such a difference!). I don't consider it obsessive. I consider myself informed.

After I just finally tried the new double chocolate chunk this evening, I'm thinking of doing the same thing. I see nothing wrong with it...and oh boy, is this one delicious! (I definitely see one at some point of a lot of days ahead!)

I made this one recently and liked it. http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/slow_cooked_beans.html I ate it in single servings, sometimes just as a snack by itself. I froze a few single servings, and it worked well too.

Wow - first congrats on the loss you've had! Next, I would say if your weight loss has only slowed, just keep at what you're doing. No need to increase or decrease.

Congratulations and great idea with the turkeys!

I've never heard actual medical advice about this, but I did it for an entire fall/winter/spring (when my pants would cover them). Loved using them, and never had any issues.

Chili made with buckwheat from Russian grocery stores. (It must be this--not from a regular grocery store.) it's great with no meat at all--just the buckwheat and beans--but I often include just about 1/2 pound of extra lean ground turkey too. Just 3/4 cup of buckwheat to a large pot of chili will make the chili so hearty.

5'4.5" and my goal weight is 125 -- or, actually to just stay below 130 for the rest of my life. So I'm shooting for 125 to provide some cushion. My original MFP plan was to have 148 to be my goal weight, but that's come and gone. I'm at 136 as of this morning, and 125 seems very much in reach.

Wow! I'll be honest, I didn't read every word, but clearly you have overcome and still battling some major challenges. If your story isn't one of "If I can do this, anyone can," I don't know what is! Good for you!

I use a BioBrite alarm clock that I got on Amazon. You can set it so a light slowly brightens 15, 30, or 60 minutes before your actual alarm goes off. I find that it's a much more gentle way to wake up. It's supposed to simulate a sunrise, and I usually wake up from the light and turn the alarm off before it tweets. (You…

My friend responded, "well, if you're sporty spice, then I'm old spice." She was only in her mid-twenties at the time, but did dress quite old for her age! Funny that you also kept a similar style. I think it really does come down to working from home and my husband and I not really doing anything that requires dressing…

I lost 50 pounds about 10 years ago. I had been out of the country with limited options to buy new clothes. So I had delusions of becoming super fashionable as I recreated my wardrobe upon returning home. When it came down to it, as I told a friend, "I just am Sporty Spice." I love hooded sweatshirts, jeans, comfy shoes,…

I like the unsweetened original Blue Diamond or Silk brands. I actually switched to soy milk recently due to its protein content -- almond milk doesn't seem to have a lot going for it other than added calcium which I could get from a pill. However, I just switched back to almond because of the much lower calories. To me,…

I find it easiest to not snack at all. My break room is fully stocked. (I work from home in an 8-5 job, so my break room is my kitchen!) While it's nice to have any healthy food available at all times, my husband's unhealthy snacks are right here too. I could eat from either stash all day if I let myself. So it's easiest…

I'll be starting level 2 tomorrow. I did 10 days of level 1 with one rest day after. I ended up with really sore knees and feet from the cardio jumping, so I modified. I was able to go up to heavier weights during level 1, and my number of pushups increased. The abs sections were easy for me, so I would try to sneak in…

Agree with these comments. Starting a new job is stressful and takes time to learn. You may not burn so many calories at it long term as your mind and body adapt to the new environment. If you're not hungry, I'd give it several weeks/months before making any drastic change.

Agreed. Weigh everything to the gram. Don't use a measuring cup for your granola. When you weigh it, it will almost certainly be less than the measuring cup would have provided. (I just had dinner of frozen eggplant. It says there are 5 servings in the box, but I find that it actually ranges from 5.23 - 5.4 servings in the…

Another option for tea is the brand "Republic of Tea." They have so many amazing flavors. They satisfy a sweet craving with next to no calories -- 0 to 3 so far as I've seen.

A big loss actually reinforces that what I'm doing is working, so I'm even more motivated to do well. I agree with the commenter who said that food rewards just don't make sense and they can hurt at a time like this. I don't know how you can just change how you feel/think, but maybe instead look at a big loss as a sign of…

Very cool! I agree -- these types of posts are so inspiring. Thank you so much for sharing!

I hope to be there soon, and I do plan to log faithfully -- I'd guess for at least several months, first while I find my maintenance number then to get use to what that looks like on my plate.
