I am a big fan of kettlebells. The exercises you do with kettlebells work more than just your arms because your core has to stablilize you as you perfom swings and stuff. They're really fun and there are many great kettlebell workouts on YouTube, notably the Fitness Blender series.

I get you, OP. Usually the people who flame you for eating 1200 calories are 25 year old MEN. And they think everyone should eat like they do. I wish I had the metabolism of, say, my 21 year old son, but that's not gonna happen.

A way to stop drinking diet sodas is don't have them around. I kinda hate the taste (non-taste) of water so I pour a tall cup of cold water at work and put a green tea teabag in it. Yummy! I make mugcakes with the stuff. Very low-cal mugcakes, and sometimes not so low. I add it to chocolatey things that are not chocolatey enough.

Gosh, where are all the haters today? Usually you have a whole host of MFPers telling you how juicing is akin to a fad diet and pure evil! I once did a juice fast for 19 days and felt fantastic on it. Man, food tasted absolutely wonderful afterwards!

I know, right? That is my biggest frustration with the list. If you type "apple" the list should START with plain old apple. Why do I have to type "generic apple - raw" and still get entries that are irrelevent? So annoying.

I've made this a few times but used real sugar so it's more like 200 cals but well worth it. I made one for my son while he watched, and then he was like, "where'd the CAKE come from?" Somehow it makes cake.
