Did you take your measurements? Are your clothes feeling different? It may be that if you are maxxing out on exercise that you have really toned up - so replacing fat with muscle?? I'd just stick with a good diet with exercise and be content in the knowledge that you are a fitter, healthier & happy person :flowerforyou:

Welcome Charlie and thank you for sharing your story with us. That's a really big step you have made already - it's never easy to talk openly about what troubles us about our weight - so well done! I'm going to add you as a friend because I really want to support you on your journey - call it pay-back to all the wonderful…

I have a similar experience almost every time I go to the gym. I really like the rowing machine and usual do anything between 30 and 50 minutes. I like to keep a nice steady pace all the way through - about 30-31 strokes/min. It gets my heart rate up and my stamina has significantly improved over the past 2 months. There…

Double ditto!

Sorry I didn't get my result through this week - been run off my feet this weekend. Brother-in-law was taken into hospital on friday so have been driving back & forth between home, Dewsbury & Doncaster. Not got on the scales yet - and don't want to weigh myself in the evening. Well done softies! Happy Birthday Ros!…

What a fantastic achievement - well done you! Happy Anniversary! :flowerforyou:

Yup - we should all wear our santa suits down at they gym - it would make the MFpals so much easier to spot!!

Hi Sylvia - welcome to MFP! It's a really great place to be! Good luck with your journey.

Me too - also twins. Still got numbness above the scar after almost 20 years - remember the doc saying "That will go in time" - still waiting! Not sure how well it's going to look when I get to my goal weight - haven't been anywhere near my goal weight since way before the girls were born! :ohwell:

I love the way my "friends" are supportive - offering words of encouragement and praise - it's a real soul-booster to know that somebody (who you have never met before) has bothered to take an interest in you. I also love the fact that we are all in the same boat here - lots of very different individuals but with the same…

I can't believe we are actually discussing how often we pee - brought a smile to my face this morning (as did the fact that I weighed in and lost another 2lbs). I've always been one to pee an awful lot - now it's so much worse. I'm having to watch my fluids if I know I won't be close to a toilet for any length of…

 All the above tips are good - I use one of those foot file things and gently 'sand down' the hard skin. Then I use Flexitol Heel Balm and a pair of cotton socks - you notice a difference in a couple of days. Wonderful stuff!
-
You look wonderful! And dare I say it - you look younger too! What a difference in your face. Carry on being proud of yourself and keep up the good work! :flowerforyou:

I feel rather fortunate. My hubby used to do most of the cooking - but I've taken over now. He's been more than happy to eat what I stick in front of him - other than the occasional comment about giving him too much broccoli again! He's a really good cook and makes some fantastic meals - he's toned down the amount of oils…

Oh you took the words right out of my mouth. What a complete knobhead. And I also agree - punch your brother on the nose for his total lack of judgement in friends. We all think you're great. I know how it feels to have low esteem - it sickens you so much to be overweight. But I have turned my life around - and because you…

I love milk too. It's a good incentive to exercise more - then treat yourself to something milky! I gave up drinking coffee cos I was drinking way too much of the stuff - so my milk intake was at least a pint a day easily. Now it's just on my cereal and occasionally a milky drink before bed
-
You are not hideous at all - don't even think that way!! (I'm used to this type of motivational speaking - I have kids!)
-
How wonderful - you must feel very proud of yourself! You are an example to all of us! :flowerforyou:

Wow! You look great!!

I mostly ignore my sugar values - I tend to eat a lot of fruit so easily go over the limit. However, if I was eating a lot of 'junk' or processed food, then I would do something about it. You shouldn't give upfruit or milk - they have too many other beneficial nutrients in it. As long as you are satisfied that what you are…
