cauliflower bases, that's all I'm saying.

I just get things like 'Go on, have some cake! Your wedding is ages away!' I'm not losing weight for my wedding >:(

I don't find it that difficult to find a reasonably paleo meal in a cafe. But that might be because I only half-*kitten* it. potato? sure! Tomato? Love it!

YES thank you! this thread has been driving me crazy and I was just looking for the link to the measurement site. Everyone needs to do this.

I've gone through and added a pile from this thread but i think i missed some. my diary is open but i'm pretty slack with tracking. also been slack with cooking fun things lately!

to elaborate more: for most people, 1200 calories is the minimum you should eat, if you're stuck sitting at a desk all day or you're a couch potato or whatever. If you eat less than that, you're sending your body into starvation mode. you'll lose weight from necessity but it wrecks your metabolism. SO as soon as you binge…

after looking at two days of your diary I say EAT MORE and try having breakfast. you cant eat 1200 calories and then do 800 calories worth of exercise without starving yourself.
-
congratulations on your first week! Huge loss, really impressive. If you need more fat in your diet, hit up avocadoes, butter, etc. I've also started buying whole bbq chickens which are quite fatty but make for a super easy post-gym dinner.

I did W1D1 yesterday It was SO much harder than I expected. I think because I didn't really eat much all day before I started (bit of fruit and yoghurt) so I was running on body fat fuel instead of food-energy. I'll make sure to be better prepared tomorrow for D2.

I didn't say you were eating frozen meals :( just that I was eating a meal plan of 'diet food' for ages with no results, and i see some things in your diary that remind me of that.
-
so are you a chef? I'd say you're underestimating your caloric output at work. Try eating more, say bump up your allowance by 200 for a week and see how you go. BUT eat real, fresh stuff instead of highly processed diet foods. MINI STORY. I spent 3 months eating lite & easy frozen meals. I went to the gym regularly and…

I'm going to go opposite to everyone else and say that working 12 hour shifts on your feet doesn't sound like 'light' work to me. Coming from someone who has progressed from bartending to desk job - I didn't think I did that much movement at work until I started doing nothing. The other thing is, looking at your diary you…

I guess you're right - I have about 3 months until the course, which should be more than enough time to complete C25K & (hopefully) continue beyond it.
-
I will try to think of this every time I want to break down in a fit of self-loathing and perceived judgement. I hate being at the gym or exercising in public because I think everyone is secretly laughing at me.
-
I'm about to start, hopefully tonight! I tried doing C25K about 18 months ago. Got through the second week and then I tripped down my stairs, sprained my ankle and didn't pick C25K up again. Now I actually have a reason to start - I'm signing up for a 10km obstacle course. So I need to work on my running as well as…

look into paleo or primal, or even 'clean eating'. I've been doing my own version for about two months now and I love it. Eat as much fruit as you want! Just nothing processed. You don't crave the foods you're avoiding (like you clearly are with this crazy diet). You can be as strict or relaxed as you want.

I found low carb too difficult. It made me very cranky. I don't see how it can be healthy to eat highly processed artificial sweetners but no natural sugar (like in fruit). Whipped cream is ok, diet coke is ok, but half your vegetables are not? ...righto. I thought 20g a day of carbs was pretty standard for keto/low carb.…

it totally depends what kind of diet you're doing. I'm eating as much fruit as I want on a paleo/primal eating plan. BUT I'm not tracking calories or restricting the amount of food I eat. Some fruits are a lot higher in sugar/calories than others. So you could cut back on the worst ones, or substitute some with veges like…

oh it censored me. Well, you can guess what the missing word is, haha. So you'd say I've got the right idea doing a little bit of everything?
-
I think you can find conflicting arguments regarding what is and isn't paleo for pretty much any food. I eat lots of both. Especially if I'm eating out for breakfast, its the easiest option - bacon & poached eggs with spinach & tomato, no toast. SO.... go with your gut. Things you read on the internet should always be…

I think since starting paleo/primal, I've had haloumi once and feta twice. I have no idea if these cheeses are any good for you -- in my head, they must be better (as in less processed and artificial) than the generic 'tasty' cheese that you usually get here in Australia. tbh I don't miss cheese at all. the thought of…

thanks for the suggestions everyone! I'm doing a bit of everything -- Interval running/jogging, building upper body strength with weights, core strength with yoga. I had a banana about 1/2 hr before working out the other day and it seemed to sustain me pretty well. But I definitely didn't get enough protein after - muscles…

I hate green beans. Always have. After a week of paleo, my tastebuds changed and they were suddenly delicious. We eat so much highly flavoured rubbish that fruit & veg seems bland. Its not. You just have to... detox your tastebuds? But you don't even sound like you want to try this out. It is worthwhile if you give it a…

omg that sounds amazing. I'm definitely trying this!

i try to but its such a pain when you're cooking a different meal every night. Aint nobody got time for dat. If I like a recipe & know I'll cook/eat it a lot then I enter it. Otherwise I just hazard a guess, or select something that sounds similar to our meal. I'm fastidious with all the other food though. Its just dinner…

haha! I've done my time in retail and barwork :) Though if I earnt the same $$ as here, I'd totally go back to bartending. Its frustrating when I think about how much time I'm spending just sitting staring at a computer screen, yet still tired [mentally] by the end of the day! Thanks for the suggestions guys! Its a very…

ah some days I'd make 2--3 cups of coffee or tea with white sugar and full fat milk [the only supplies provided here] Now I've got stevia sachets but I think i'd be much better off going with a herbal tea instead?
-
ahhh herbal tea, I keep meaning to buy some! good suggestion thanks.

haha, I suppose my problem there is that when I'm bored, I just log into facebook or buzzfeed instead of going for a walk.
