I actually thought this was a joke thread before I clicked on it. As such, I vote against relying on cabbage soup for weightloss.

i wasn't really hungry for lunch so i made up a green smoothie too. It was something like parsley, celery, spinach, pear, kiwi and misc citrus fruits. and fresh ginger. edit: actually most other days are probably 'healthier' as they tend to have a better carb/fats/protein balance in them. But the green smoothie sounds good.

probably because its easy to argue against if you pretend 'paleo' means 'we think that you have to eat exactly what would have been available in the paleolithic period' rather than a catchy name for eating hunter-gatherer type foods instead of agricultural/mass produced food.

now its TOO SMALL though:sad: why these forums can't stretch to accomodate normal images, i have no idea.

1. Paleo is not necessarily low-carb or ketogenic, though some people choose to eat keto paleo for health problems etc. I don't watch my carbs at all. 2. There is a paleo & primal group full of information and helpful, happy people. You will find overwhelmingly negative responses on the main forums. I love eating paleo…

I roll my eyes at every 'welcome to the internet' response. *****es, I grew up with the internet. Its changed, and has become an integral part of peoples lives now - as such, normal social guidelines need to start being acknowledged. This is the only board I frequent that still has members saying 'errr its the internet' as…

My favourite is chicken, BLT & avocado. We use iceberg but its a bit watery.
-
just wanted to say that I sliced up and froze a few bananas & avocados last night after the suggestion. I had no idea frozen banana was so delicious! New favourite snack for sure.
-
don't take any money with you? Then you have to eat the stuff you brought instead of buying fast food.

I just made this last night http://www.yumstheword.com.au/2013/07/paleo-banoffee-pie-raw-no-bake-vegan.html banoffee pie! SO delicious.

cute OP, but it sort of feels like you're trivialising something that does affect a lot of impressionable people for the sake of a laugh. But then, the same company that owns Dove also owns Axe/Lynx, so the whole 'real beauty' campaign is utter bullsh|t designed to do just what you said - sell soap.

I've been making ham wraps quite a bit lately for breakfast or lunch. We get some pretty thick-sliced ham, pile on a load of salad stuff, and roll it up like a normal wrap. Meat wrap! I prefer it to lettuce ones just because its not as wet.. with lettuce wraps I tend to have a puddle of water on my plate by the end.

ohh thats a good idea. I need to do more things like this so I'm better prepared. Primal Runner - that sounds delicious! I make a chocolate mousse using avocado, banana, dates, cocoa powder & stevia. I'm thinking of making some and freezing it in small portions so it lasts longer. The last batch got forgotten about and…

ooh I've never heard of this, I will look into it right now. & I like the clothes suggestions too! My trackie pants are hanging off me, maybe investing in some nicer, better-fitting stuff will help with the mental barriers. I wish you could wear dresses or skirts to the gym. its the only thing I really feel comfortable in!

not sure what those obvious reasons are, but I hope this doesn't just turn into everyone saying 'just go already u idiot'. I'm hoping to find some advice from people with similar hangups & how they overcome them.
-
I know! I find an excuse to stop trying because its easier than pushing myself.

On the weekend I decided to make some poached eggs with spinach and some fresh wholemeal toast, after a week of strict paleo. I suffered the whole day with weird tummy problems & indigestion. I guess that's proof enough that bread is v. bad for me :( I love bread though

I skipped it. We don't technically celebrate it in Australia but there was a big thing in our town, everyone went trick or treating along the main st. But... isn't the candy part of halloween for kids?

Video games are way more interesting than hair colour or weight. I bet my +1 is at home playing Bioshock Infinite right now, just waiting for me to come home and yell 'MY TURN' and boot him off :ohwell:

ok this is just too far

Hi Sally, Click on My Home -> Goals -> Change Goals -> custom. You can then play with percentages and adjust them to suit your diet.
-
if it has a face, its paleo enough for me.

You're looking at what she's actually logged. But look at her daily macro goals. Thursday's is 245 carbs, 59 fat, 67 protein. That means her carbs are set to about 55%, I guess about 15% protein and 20% fat.
-
you should probably start eating back your exercise calories though. also I'd have a look at adjusting your macros. It seems your carbs are really high and fats & protein are low. I'd make carbs like... 40% or something, tops.

I'm just outside of the Blue Mountains(of recent bushfire fame). There's a paleo cafe in Sydney CBD but they're only open on weekdays :'( My partner has started following someone on facebook called The Paleo Chef or something -- he told me yesterday that they're planning a big picnic in Centennial Park. Like a giant…

from the blog: Here is all the things that I have went completely without for the entire first week: - bread -pasta -dairy (milk) -fried food -sugar -soda -starch -beans -coffee These are things I have went light on -cheese - peas You're killing me bro.

Wish we had canned pumpkin here. I love pumpkin but I'll do myself a serious injury in the kitchen one of these days. Have a look on pinterest for paleo pumpkin recipes. Though I guess it depends how you're defining sugar - just the white processed stuff or are you including fruit & veg in that too?
-
everyone will ask you to open your diary so they can see what you've been logging. 1200 calories is painfully low imo. Are you making sure to eat those exercise calories back? So eating 1500-1600 on days where you exercise?
