During my 3 month stint as a vegetarian, I used to replace the meat in their tacos with beans. Delicious....IF you like beans. I'm with what someone else said: if we knew HALF of what was in our food (even the supposed "good" stuff), we wouldn't want to eat it. <used to work at a restaurant. 'Nuff said.

I can tell you NOT to buy the Schwinn one that costs 35 bucks....it's HORRENDOUS. The calorie count is way off. I actually just take the number it gives me and divide it by two for a semi-accurate reading (it coincides with information that I read online, but it's a hassel). I heard BodyBugg was good, and Polar also.…

I have days like that, where I just want to quit. But you ARE worthy...weight isn't everything!!

I love Lean Cusines (or Smart Ones). They fill me up, especially the pasta dishes or those containing potatoes.

Keep at it!!!! I'm sure we all have days where we just want to give up. I had "given up" for about 3 months prior to my joining this site and getting serious about weight loss. I had just "accepted" that I was a little overweight and that was that. Now that I'm working at it, I feel great. Just think about how great you…

That's great...thanks for sharing!

I don't get it. I'm always hungry (or at least I THINK I'm always hungry). Been sticking to my cals, but it is HARD!!!
-
I like it, too, but the sugar was worrying me, so they make an unsweetened version that, if you throw in a little Truvia or something, tastes great and is only 40 cals per serving!
-
Good for you for deciding that it's time for a change. Stick with it...you'll see results if you do!
-
The tall skinny vanilla latte is only 90 cals. They're tasty!
-
You look GORGEOUS, girl!! Keep up the good work!

I was told by my husband basically what Sir Mix-A-Lot told us in the 90's: "You can do side bends or situps, but please don't lose that butt!" LOL...I've always had a Kim Kardashian-esque build (not nearly as gorgeous as she), so no matter what I do, I do believe I've got that thing for life! Seriously, though:…

It's been almost 3 weeks and I'm down 7 pounds.

See if you can find the nutrional information somewhere online, or see if your Dr. can provide it for you.

See, where I teach, most of the girls are underweight. They are very active in sports and I can seriously count the number of obese/overweight kids on 1 hand. I think it's tough though, because you don't want to make girls overly-anxious, because that leads to problems, but obesity is a huge problem too. We don't want them…

Don't get discouraged! It's harder for some of us than others. I always start off REALLY good and then hit a brick wall, so I know how you feel. Just keep at it and think of all the good things you're doing for yourself!! Like someone else said, there's more to health than weight. (130-135 isn't a terrible weight; I'm…

What a difference!! Keep up the good work!

Personally, I'd allow myself a cheat meal because it's RED LOBSTER!! LOL. Exercise a lot that day, and let it be your "cheat day."

I have the same issue. I'm over on sugar and sodium every SINGLE day, and I'm not eating foods loaded with sugar, either. Listen: you can't drive yourself crazy doing low-cal, low-carb, low-fat, and low-sodium all at once (I'm sure someone on here will disagree! LOL). But honestly: do what you can, make small changes, be…

Hot mama!!!!! You go, lady! :-)

Not sure about McDonald's, but the fries at BK are RIDICULOUS!! If the info on this food database is correct: I am better off (calorie-wise) with 2 whopper juniors (no cheese or mayo) than with one whopper junior (no cheese or mayo) and a small fry! Taco Bell has some REALLY tasty low-cal choices, BTW.

Awesome! So how much un-sweeter(if that's a word! LOL) is it than the regular vanilla almond milk?? Is it really noticeable?

You burn a TON doing the Zumba, and there are even three different levels you can choose from. It's the only one I have, and I LOVE it, but I've heard that Just Dance is good, too.

Amen!!! Mexican anything. PECAN PIE with whipped cream (OMG!!!!) French fries. ICE CREAM! As my husband would say: I don't have a sweet tooth; I have sweet teeth!
-
Whoa, baby! You look AWESOME!

The scale hit 150 and that was IT. I'm 5'3, and I've always been around 120-130. I "accepted" 140 as a part of getting older, but when it got to 150, I realized I need to make a change.

Honey: you are GORGEOUS! Congrats!

Haha! Great reference...I forgot about her! I can usually hold it pretty well, but in a pinch, I will solicit help from neighboring classrooms.

Oh and if you have coffee in the am, and then you drink water and God forbid have SOUP at lunch? I really have to plan my meals carefully!
