Week 10 is up!

I didn't lose 21 lbs in just 6 weeks. When I bought the dress, I had already lost 12.5 lbs. The most effective thing that I have found is to record EVERYTHING that I eat and work out most days of the week. I use a HRM that accurately estimates how many calories I burn in each work out and I shoot to burn at least 600…

Radio shack usually has a lot of the weird batteries, you could check there!

If you aren't going to eat all 1200 calories, you really need to be eating more nutritious calories. An english muffin is not NEARLY enough for breakfast! Where is the protein? So many studies have shown that a good breakfast leads to a healthier weight. Try to balance it out with some eggs whites, a protein shake or…

Don't look at it as wanting to be healthy and thin....too broad and vague. Set *small* goals. One week at a time, one day at a time, one hour at a time. Work within your abilities. Commit to X number of workouts each week; when you can easily fit that in, increase it by adding one day a week. Give yourself some wiggle…

Today was my first day of classes for Med School, so I totally forgot to weigh in. I'll post tomorrow!

You'll learn that a lot of the foods you ate before just aren't worth it! Then eventually you won't crave them nearly as much, once your body realizes how much better it feels to eat nutritious foods! It's also insane how much you can eat and stay under your calorie goal when you make good choices. Veggies are SO filling…

Week 7 is up!

Hope everyone is doing well over the weekend. Weigh in day tomorrow!

What's going to happen when you're sick of them? Try cooking your own food at least half the time. Get a food scale and a set of measuring cups. I know, it sounds time consuming, but it's really not, trust me!! That way you can keep track of your calories so much easier and a lot more accurately. Frozen dinners are ok, but…

Stay strong! You don't want any of that junk anyway!!

We'd love to have you! We're all working to lose 20 lbs in 20 weeks. We're on Week 6 right now, so you're not too late! We weigh in on Mondays and we have weekly challenges. This week's challenge is to get at least 20 grams of fiber every day and we are all coming up with our own personal challenges for this week also.…

So this week, I really pushed it on my workouts. I had two days that I did a morning and evening workout, which helped make up for the two other days I couldn't work out. I went out of town for a wedding, but worked out hard on Saturday morning to make sure I would have plenty of calories for the evening. I'm proud of how…

Week 6 is up!

This weekend should be a good test...I'm going out of town for a wedding and will have 2 dinners that I have no control over the choices! I packed a bag full of good snacks and stuff for breakfast, so I'm prepared! Hope everyone is doing well this week! Weigh in on Monday!

I'd be surprised if you weren't burning that 700 calories in 1.5 or 2 hours of exercise. I often burn that in an hour of intense kickboxing, so you should get there with 1.5 or 2 hours of moderate exercise. I will say, I have a HRM and I love it. I would not leave the house without it. Maybe save up over 3 or 4 months??

How is everyone doing on their challenges this week?? Last night I came home and had the most insane desire to eat practically everything in the kitchen. Thankfully, I restrained myself and only ended up +125 calories for the day. I went to the gym today and did a weight lifting class and interval sprints. I worked up to a…

Ditto to all of the above. I also have a Polar F6 HRM; got it for $100 at ****'s Sporting Goods (EDIT: Hahaha it thought that I was saying something nasty! I promise I'm not cussing...We'll call it Richard's Sporting Goods!). I've had it for about 2.5 yrs and I love it. It's still working great and it's SO much more…

Water and sodium can change everything. Did you eat 7000 calories yesterday? Then you probably didn't gain 2-3 lbs of fat, just 2-3 lbs of excess sodium and water retention. You can do it!! Just keep going!
-
Ditto to changing up your routine. Try out some weight training. It'll start moving eventually! Just a thought, it's easier to judge how many calories you burn with exercise and how many you should eat daily if you have an accurate weight. Maybe weigh in once every 2-4 weeks...that'll help keep those numbers accurate. Just…

Welcome pheebers! I went to kickboxing class (God himself invented that class) and it was the BEST workout ever. I challenge everyone to find a kickboxing class and go to at least one! It's such an efficient way to burn a ton of calories in an hour.

I love Prego spagetti sauce and I discovered that the "heart healthy" traditional is lower sodium than the original....not by much, but every little bit helps and I also just limit my amount of it.
-
Don't worry. I'm definitely watching my nutrition. I also check in with my personal trainer weekly.

You look awesome! Good job!

Mlally - Congrats on your lowest adult weight! That's awesome! I updated the list with your loss this week. I'm down 2.4 lbs this week AND I met my first mini goal of 15 lbs this morning!! Now on to my next goal of 25 lbs by August 14th! My challenge for this week is to stop eating after dinner! I never go over my…

That's not a mini success...that's big! Congrats!
