That makes me not want to eat for a week. I can't imagine that there isn't at least a little part of her that wishes she could be thinner and happier at least SOME of the time. So sad for those kids.

You both look amazing and SO HAPPY!! :) Congratulations on all your hard work!

You definitely didn't eat too much for lunch. I tend to shoot for around 400-450 calories for lunch. I usually eat about 200 calories for breakfast, so that's good. But maybe more protein? I think your best way to add in calories is to have a morning and afternoon snack. An apple, cheese stick, oatmeal, a few crackers with…

Are you hungry without the phentermine? It sounds like you don't really need it. You absolutely need to eat AT LEAST 1200 calories. What kind of things are you eating? You should be eating more calorie dense things or protein shakes. That will increase your calories without making you feel overfull. If you keep eating…

Do you have a gym membership? Maybe you could weigh in there so that you can save the money on the scale and the possibility of weighing 20 times a day??

You can do it! It's not magic, you have to put in the work and lose it slowly, but you'll start to learn how to change your how outlook on life and eating! Just take it one day at a time and don't give up! You are in control of your life!

I had the same experience! I lost almost 30 lbs for my wedding on 1/3/2009 and gained it all back (+13 additional!!). Don't dwell on the past, just take it one day at a time. Feel free to add me as a friend. You'll find that there are TONS of supportive people here. Just log your calories, get in some exercise and you'll…

I drink a protein shake about everyday and especially after strength training. I use Syntrax Nectar protein shakes. They come in fruit flavors instead of your typical chocolate and vanilla. My favorites are roadside lemonade, crystal sky and strawberry kiwi. I hated caribbean cooler, so I would avoid it unless you REALLY…

I acknowledged the fact that I will not be living my life without some of my favorite "bad for you" foods. No, I can't (and shouldn't) have them very often, but having them every once in a while is OK! I don't have to give up all my efforts just because I had chinese or BBQ for dinner!!

OOPS! I forgot to put Part 2!! So this should be 20 in 20 Part 2: Week 9! My bad!

This is the right place to take back control over your life. :) There are so many people at so many different places along their journey and a lot of people with A LOT of weight to lose. We can do it. Just take it one day at a time. Making small changes adds up over time. Congrats on starting this journey!!

Sounds like she's not going to say anything to you, so you should make the first move. You don't want to ruin the relationship with your sister over something that happened months ago. Concentrate on rebuilding the relationship and then I'm sure she will congratulate you on your weight loss.

Definitely still in!

My goal isn't as big as yours, but I'd REALLY love to see the 140s at some point in 2011, which would mean about 60-65 more lbs lost. You can do it! Even if you only lose 10, 20, 50 lbs, it will still be weight lost never to come back! Don't concentrate on the numbers, just concentrate on getting healthy. :)

Last year, I wanted to run a 10K. Well, I didn't get to accomplish that, so I'm extending it into 2011!

I do 50% carbs, 30% protein and 20% fat. It works for me!

Whoa!! I can't even tell that's you!! Congratulations!!

I would totally recommend taking every class that you have an interest in at least once. You never know what you're going to love and finding something you enjoy is the key to making this a lifestyle change! I love yoga, but I don't think that it is worth my time calorie-burning wise. Kickboxing is awesome! I've burned up…

I don't designate cheat days. If I know I'm going to be eating more calories than usual, I'll work out extra hard to make sure that I don't go too far over my usual calorie allotment + exercise calories. I don't give myself entire cheat days, maybe a meal if it's a big occasion, but I like to keep things in perspective and…

I shoot for 2 lbs a week and I think it's realistic calorie-wise, but I don't necessarily lose 2 lbs every week. I don't like to let myself get discouraged. Think about it like this: am I going to be healthier and happier by giving up and eating whatever? Or by sticking it out even when it seems like my efforts aren't…

I'm 9 lbs from getting out of the 200s, but I can't WAIT until I can see the 150s. :)
