Even better than waiting to hear back from your doctor, watch your Vitamin D levels in your food diary!! I set mine to watch calcium and since I did that I have been doing so much better about reaching my calcium goals daily.

Amen. It's all up to you. If you're eating because you're starving maybe you need to be eating more dense foods like veggies and whole grains. If you're eating because you're bored, you need to teach yourself to do something else. You've had this behavior for so long, you need to take the time to teach yourself a new way…

I had my first training run today for my 10K that's 6 weeks from Saturday. I ran 2 miles in 23:15! I think that's pretty good for my first run! In other news, my "if every day were like today, you'd weigh xxx in 5 weeks" number is finally in the 170s!!! That's CRAZY!! I love thinking about being in the 170s because I never…

I couldn't think of a better way to spend your money. It's not very often that you can buy self-esteem. If a makeover is all you need, it will be the best money you've ever spent, if it makes you feel more confident!! That is the farthest thing from selfish. DO IT!

I can't speak to the science of it, but based on my own personal experience this has not been true for me. My personal trainer takes my body fat percentage and measurements weekly. Over the past 10 months of working out with HR around 150-170 throughout the workout, I have consistently lost weight and body fat, while…

I like to keep my heart rate no lower than 150 throughout the entire workout. Depending on how difficult the workout is, it will often get up into 160-170s. I think that is a good place to be. You won't be doing any harm unless you start to feel badly. As long as you're feeling good (tired, obviously, but good) you're fine…

Who cares about due dates as long as you are working hard! You'll get there eventually. The number on the scale isn't everything!!
-
You look so great! Keep up the hard work!

Honestly, I would talk to your doctor just to make sure that you're OK.

My weight is always higher that week, even though my food and work outs are exactly the same. But after about a week, it's all gone plus some. So, it's definitely not an excuse for me, but I think if you're using your period as a free pass to eat more, then you're treating it as an excuse!

I reset my food goals to be 50% carbs, 30% protein and 20% fat. It usually ends up being about 30-40 g of fat per day.

Just another reminder that I'm on the right track: I got measured by the personal trainer yesterday and I'm at 27.3% body fat. I started at 35.8%!! I'm only 2.3% away from getting into the healthy range!! Well, today is a study study study day, then I'm going to run a little before kickboxing tonight! Hope everyone…

Tomorrow is another day. No matter how you have done the past few days, you have not ruined everything you've already accomplished. What's done is done. You can do this. Concentrate on what you want out of this journey. If you think about what you want to accomplish from now on, you can do anything! I know you can do it!!!…

So I've decided that I'm going to train for a 10K on April 2nd! And if it goes well, I'm going to continue training for a half marathon on October 15th. I've never been a runner and I've always wanted to be. So I'm going to go for the half marathon to prove to myself that I can do it. 2011 is my year and I'm going to push…

OMG. I went shopping yesterday and bought two pairs of size 12 shorts!!! And my mom (gotta love her) bought me a swimsuit that she thought I would like. Well, it fits perfectly and it looks awesome. I will feel completely comfortable in my swimsuit in Mexico, 3 weeks from today!! Yesterday was such a great day!

I just had to celebrate this with all you wonderful gals, I am wearing my 12 size jeans for the first time since 2009 and boy does butt look awesome. I feel like I should take a picture. I was planning on staying in all night and studying, but I think I might need to head to the mall and show off my new size 12…

So normally I don't weigh in more than once a day (I'm not addicted) but today I decided to weigh in again after my workout. I'm down to 195.8! That's exactly 30 lbs lost!!! I'm taking it! That means that I lost 1.8 lbs this week!!!! YAY YAY YAY!!
-
Yay!! That's so great. Proud of you!
-
I'm down 0.8 lbs from 197.4 to 196.6 lbs. While I do wish that it had been a little more, this week was TOM, so I'll take it! A loss is still a loss!

Got it.

Oh and a mountain of crab rangoon, a lake of egg drop soup and a castle of cheesecake. LOL.

Cheese dip, nachos, chips and salsa and PANCAKES!!

First of all, don't weigh yourself more than once a day. Some say to only weigh once a week, but if you're ok with seeing a gain on the scale every once in a while, I (personally) like to weigh in every day to keep me on track. Your weight can fluctuate up to 5 lbs in a single day, so weighing yourself more than once in…

Homemade popcorn! You can use less oil and sprinkle on some salt or a little butter flavoring. A LOT less calories than the popcorn you'd get at the theater and way cheaper!

You WILL break past it! It's just a mental barrier. You can do it and we're going to help you!!

I have been heavy my entire life. I remember trying to lose weight with my mom when I was about 12. That was the last time I remember weighing under 150 lbs. My highest weight was 230 lbs during my Junior year of high school, then I lost some weight without really trying before college. I stayed around 200 lbs for most of…

That's awesome!! You broke into the 200s!!!
