Every morning, but I only record what I weigh during my official Sunday weigh in. I used to freak out over the daily variations but don't anymore. My daily weight goes up and down by about a pound.

Yep!

Do you have a massive binging problem? Get to the root of the psychological reasons behind that or you won't be successful. I say that as a reformed binger. All of the exercise in the world won't help someone eating thousands of extra calories a day. You can do it, and I"m pulling for you!
-
Why in the world do you take pictures of your stomach while sitting down? That's kind of stupid.
-
So wonderful! You look like a warm and generous person, just taking up less space than you used to. :) I'm happy for you!

I'd have 20 or so almonds or a few pieces of pepperoni. I love pepperoni.

Your opinion is what matters, of course. People do have a type, and there's nothing wrong with that. He's expressing to you what his type is. A relationship will only last if there is far more than just a physical attraction.

I have a smoothie every morning. Measure what you put in and make sure your counts are accurate. Mine comes in just under 300 calories and is my biggest carb source of the day. I added smoothies about half way through this weight loss process and they don't seem to have affected my rate of loss at all. Probably because my…

Yep, add this sap to the people tearing up. Well done! You look wonderful and happy!

You rock!!

I'll be happy at 140. Heck, I'm happy now at 165. When you start morbidly obese at 243 everything in the ones is a happy thing. :) Right now my ticker goal is for 150. I plan to work hard to get to that point, and then lose the last 10 very, very slowly. I don't think I've weighed less than 150 since I was about 22 years…

I'm not low low carb, but I try to keep them under 100 a day. Usually I'm in around 75-80 or so. I do it because I feel better and because it eliminates my sugar cravings. When carbs are my focus, by keeping them under 100 a day I don't really need to watch my calories. They naturally top out around 1300-1500 just because…

I eat 20 almonds every day when I get home from work. It's enough to tide me over until dinner. Almonds are incredibly nutritious.

I eat lowish carbs and don't watch my protein at all and most days I end up somewhere around 90. I don't think I've ever once come in under the MFP recommendation.
-
Double the size of your protein and use full fat dressings. Problem solved! I think we all run into this at the beginning of our weight loss because it's hard to find that medium between enough and too much. We are used to too much so we err in the other direction. You can eat enough, you just aren't.
-
Congrats to you and your whole family. It's wonderful that you can all support each other. :)

I won't do low carb (did Atkins in the past but it was too restrictive for me) but I currently aim for 50-100 carbs a day and feel really good at that level. Restricting carbs has the bonus of effect of cutting the calories naturally.

34 pounds is 2 months is great, but really it is way too much. Your body can't sustain that rate of loss long term. Your body will readjust every so often and you'll have to mix up your diet to keep things going but PLEASE don't expect 3 or more pounds a week because you can't do that and remain healthy. ***Ok, just saw…

My goal since the beginning of the year has been to weigh 160 at the end of it. If I do it by Christmas that's great, but New Year's is ok too. This morning I weighed 165.0 so I think this is doable if I don't go nuts at Thanksgiving. I only lose .5 - 1 pound a week these days.

I'm both an emotional and bored eater. I think I have a handle on the emotional part (I haven't binged in a year) but when I'm bored I can walk into the kitchen 10 times in an hour looking for something to munch on. I've made my bedroom my haven and stay up there as much as possible to avoid the temptations downstairs. I…

1400 is my goal. I try to eat: Breakfast 300 Lunch 300 Snacks 300 Dinner 500 I eat something every 3 hours all day because if I get too hungry I become obsessed with eating. I try to keep snacks around 100 calories each.

Thank you for the reminder. It's easy to be frustrated when the loss isn't happening as fast as you want it to, but we all need to remember to make healthy choices.
-
Are you sure it's not your technique? If you're having trouble with your nonstick pans, spray a little cooking spray on there and you'll be good to go.
-
No regrets today. I came close to ordering a pizza during the Redskins game but abstained. I'm trying to watch my carbs more and that would have put me way over for today.

I ate 1200 calories a day for 6 months. It does work, I think particularly if you have a lot to lose and have to adjust a lifetime of bad habits. After 6 months, when the weight loss slowed down naturally, I no longer had the motivation to be hungry all of the time so I upped to 1400. I think it is only sustainable for so…

That's terrific! Save a pair of fat pants for posterity. You'll get a kick out of them later.

You don't have to eat like a pig you know. Just go, make your family happy, and spend Black Friday doing whatever you like to do all by yourself. I am a loner, but even I draw the line at blowing off the major family holiday to hang out alone. I have one child and I know that eventually he'll marry and we won't see him at…

I agree, plan your snacks. If you know you'll want a cookie, budget it in. What I do to avoid roaming around the kitchen searching for something to eat out of habit is to go up to my room as soon as I'm finished with dinner/necessities. I may temporarily think about wanting something to eat but then I'd have to trudge on…

500 to me is a lot for a meal but someone with different goals would feel otherwise. Eat what works for you!

Go by how you feel and not what other people think. If you are losing, gaining, or maintaining as you wish and you feel good, keep doing what you are doing. I personally do better if I limit my carbs (I feel better and lose better) but every person is different and you need to find what works for you.
