You look wonderful and I love your smile!

It's weird. We get overweight by eating way too much and we have such a warped sense of what is correct that when we first try to diet we go way too far in the other direction. 1300 is not a hard goal to meet. If you don't like the idea of having a bunch left over at dinner, try my method which is to eat something every 3…

I'm thinking southern Caribbean cruise. DH has also promised an anniversary band. I didn't want one when my fingers were really fat.

Yes. I've lost lots of weight in the past only to get complacent and find myself gaining much of it back. I don't think I'll be obsessively tracking every bite, but I've learned how I'm supposed to eat and will make sure I stay within my maintenance calories.

Someone who is trying to gain weight (or lose it ) and measuring out 50g worth of a banana to stay within a self-imposed 45 calorie limit has a true problem and I don't think anyone here is qualified to advise someone with such an issue. OP, seek help from a nutritionist definitely and a psychiatrist probably.

Nope, I'm going to eat whatever I want within reason and not sully the holiday by trying to keep track. :)

People should just mind their own business in general. I wouldn't comment that someone's hair color was bizarre, their tats are ugly, or their nose is too crooked. Similarly, I'm not going to comment on someone's size, big or small. Live and let live. Unsolicited criticism, particularly from strangers or anyone not close,…

WDW by far. I've had annual passes for 15 years (and live in Maryland) so yes, I'm a Disney freak!

My breakfast and dinner are each around 500 calories, with my other 400 a day spread between lunch and snacks. I find that if I have a large breakfast, I'm not playing catch up with my hunger for the rest of the day, whereas when I eat a little I feel just a bit hungry all day long.

Good for you! I've also become fascinated with nutrition since embarking on this life change. I think it's wonderful that you'll be helping people.

I've never used anything in capsule or tablet form, but Benefiber works really well for me. I mix it in my coffee in the morning or if I forget I put it in my tea later in the day. It mixes well, is tasteless and has the effect it is supposed to.

Add some protein to that breakfast and you'll last a lot longer and take mid morning and mid afternoon snacks to work with you.

Be careful. Obsessions can be very unhealthy. I've also been at this since January. I probably spend 30 minutes a day thinking about my weight loss/plans but that's because every day is more or less the same. I definitely don't struggle to eat enough.

Woohooo!!!!! That's awesome!

Just incredible! I admit, I shed a tear. Thanks for sharing this, very motivational!!!

Yes, I agree with the others. Get your depression under control with the help of a doctor. Not that losing weight is ever going to be easy, but taking that huge issue out of the equation will make the weight loss far more doable. And you CAN do it. Be kind and gentle to yourself.

No carbs at all? Meat, eggs, some cheese. Add mayo and enjoy. I'd really budget a few carbs for Benefiber or similar because your system is going to slow to nothing.

Back in the day, Walt Disney World had turnstiles at a few rides. Haunted Mansion was one of them. I was too fat to walk straight through the turnstile, I had to do a side step/shimmy/tiptoe thing. That's not the bad part. During my graceful tiptoe movement, the turnstile caught the back of my shorts pulling them down and…

Last night I had a handful of almonds that put me over my calories for the day. That was not a binge. I got fat by binging. I would eat an entire pound of oreos, half a gallon of milk, half a bag of doritos, etc., all at one time without really tasting a thing. You don't binge from hunger, you binge for psychological…

Cook for yourself! My husband and I both work outside of the home and we switch off cooking duties. That said, I've been on this diet/lifestyle change since January and couldn't stick with it were it not for my husband's support. He can eat much more than I can, but he's adapted to cooking for the way I need to eat on his…

Love it, but then I AM lactose intolerant so it's a great choice for me. I use the Silk unsweetened vanilla in my smoothie every morning.

I'm 5'5", started at 243 and am now at 161ish. I've got loose skin. My inner thighs are the worst, but I have a little on my upper arms (I think that will tighten up) and some on my stomach. I'm also 45 and was fat for 20 years, so my skin won't bounce back the way a younger person's would. I don't care one whit about the…

I've switched up my diet so I'm not eating them anymore, but I lost the first 50-60 pounds eating microwavable lunches every day. Smart Ones, Healthy Choice, etc. They are filled with sodium which is the biggest drawback, but they are low in calories (always under 300) and filling enough to get you through from lunch to…

My 19 year old son eats like a bird and is quite thin. I'm convinced that it's because he's been there for my weight struggle and doesn't want to be fat. I've been concerned for years. Talk to her pediatrician first and foremost. Never weigh yourself around her and never utter the word diet. Call it healthy eating plan or…

I use my Nutribullet every morning for my smoothie. I love it. Maybe it's a glorified blender, but I love the size and how it doesn't take up much space in my closet-sized kitchen. It pulverizes whatever I put into it and clean up is easy.

I don't have cheat days. I'm pretty good at planning for special meals and the treats that I occasionally want. I don't have a sweet tooth so that's really helpful for me. The only time I really relax is when I go on vacation, but even then while I don't record my food I try to make decent choices. I've cruised and gone to…
