Thank you for all of the information and advice. I am going to try to go as gluten free as I can and see if that makes a difference. I'm not doing this for weight loss. I am actually 9 pounds away from my goal. :) I just want to eliminate gluten for a while to see if it is a trigger for my Crohns.

I would train for a few weeks before the race. I started by running two minutes and walking one minute. After two weeks I could run two miles without stopping. Plus it's important to stretch before you run. I learned the hard way. Good luck!

Yay! I know you are excited. I did my first this past spring. It's too hot to do any right now. I am waiting until the fall to do another one. I started in the very back, with all the moms with the strollers. Big mistake. Took forever to get past them. Good luck!

I have found going carb free makes me want to binge. I wasn't counting them until I saw how much sodium was in one packet. (Crystal Light) I gave it up and now I make a glass pitcher of ice water with fuit in it. A friend told me to add fresh strawberries and kiwi. It's yummy!

lol, you can always try putting a 5 lb weight on your scale just to make sure it's accurate. The fluctuating may be from water weight. I don't ever go by what MFP tells me. It is never right. Have you tried bodybuilding.com? I started using it this week. They have some great workout plans and it's free. You can do a lot of stuff with hand weights. I would get several different weights. You can do body dips if you have a sturdy bench or chair. I use my coffee table. lol
